Thanks for the suggestion, Shasta. Maybe I could incorporate a new version of this bookshelf exercise in a future contest. (After I finish some projects in War Drobe that have on my procrastination pile for far too long!)

What about a book that tells the true story of Charn? Including the actual name of it and, perhaps, Jadis' life before all of this.

Several possible approaches to the Charn book. One would be to say that a book was written by someone who LIVED ON Charn long ago, and by supernatural means the book was retrieved. Another way is to say that one of the living stars in the Narnian universe knew about Charn and put its history in writing. There's also the option of pretending that, before Digory and Polly departed from Narnia, they told Frank and Helen enough about Charn that the royal couple could assemble a book which added information they picked up about Jadis in years following.
