VERY far along in the old Spacebullies thread, two friends of Deuce {Street-Bat} Wayans got married on Bat-Earth. Alabama Jones possesses a magic bullwhip, which has great power against evil. The half-Chinese Theda Kirby, who has close ties with the Wayans family, possesses many non-magical but useful talents, mid-level kung-fu included. Their magical teleportation away from Bat-Earth is no secret for Bat-Earth's hero community. The Joneses have been guided by super-duper beings on the side of good: by the Janitors of the Universe, if memory serves me. Their mission is to uncover plotline-advancing mysteries in the Southern Pinwheel Galaxy; these to be kept separate from events on Dystopian Earth.

"This is Lord Katmatao of the Janitors," the humanoid leader spoke into the adventurers' minds. "We're guiding you in for a landing on easy terrain. Your destination is a habitable world which is a satellite of a giant planet, like that Yavin place. Gravity's just a bit less than on any Earth-variant."

"Are there inhabitants?" Theda asked.

"There are. Of course, we're covering the plotline-convenient part where we make their language understandable to you. They're not already on the scene to greet you; that would be TOO convenient. But you'll establish friendship quickly enough. This done, they'll brief you on what comes next."

Theda's martial training let her do a perfect shoulder-roll, a smoother landing than Alabama's. She was not so crass as to mock her husband for a slight stumble; she remembered the obnoxious male-bashers Washday Anagram and Maxie Viva back on Bat-Earth.

At least the United States on Bat-Earth had been left in good hands, with the wise and good-hearted Ladora Greeley as President, and most of the Righteous Mountain Warriors, with multiple Green Flashlights, on call to look out for new threats.

No one was around to make any jokes about keeping up with the Joneses. Theda and Bammy (as she VERY seldom called him, to his face or otherwise) regained their footing. The lesser gravity was manageable; it simply made for easier strides.
