Shh!!" the Captain said as she overheard Lu and Fyn talk. "that's what ye get fer waking up late! Heck that's what ye get fer taking a nap. Now go up there and give yer last words before Herkimer does. Because if he does then its over. He's closing the funeral!"

IOWW had tears in her eyes as one by one her friends said their good-byes.
"Once Herkimer is done with his speech, you will be brought back. He worked very hard on it." Aslan told her.

Despite herself, Fish found that she truly was expecting IOWW to just...rise from the dead. Ye've brought us through tougher times, Aslan, Fish thought, But we sure could use a miracle right about now...

"I know you're there and you can hear me, but I can't hear you. IOWW, you have been everything to me, a sister, a friend, a matey, and most importantly my guardian. Each battle that has ever taken place, you've always been there with me, next to me, fighting alongside with me and taking care of me when I have gotten hurt. IOWW, I know that you are not dead yet and I know that you are here watching me as I say this. I know you hate girly things but...I ..just wanted to tell ye..that I love you IOWW."
*With that, she hugged IOWW's head body and stayed there for a minute.*

"I don't know what to think anymore, Cap'n." Fish said. "All's I know is Aslan's done amazing things before. How many of us should be dead now, too? I mean, by all rights I should have died in that Krakin, and Elashia died and came back, too...but I jest don't know this time..."
Herkimer took a moment, and then started his goodbye.
"At times life is wicked, and we just can't see the light." He started, " A silver lining of help and love sometimes isn't enough to make some wrongs seem alright..." He wiped a tear from his eye. " Whatever life brings, I thought I'd been through everything there was...yet, now I'm on my knees again. I know I must go on, and I know I must be strong in such a time of sadness, because inside I know that many feel this way..." He looked at the FF members and the rest of the pirates. " At times life's unfair. It's plain to see. Many of us owe IOWW our lives...yet, she is the one lying lifeless on the stone table." He wiped his eyes once again. " it seems like it was yesterday when I saw her face, last. She said her goodbye, and told me they'd be back when the wizard was dead. If I knew what I know today, I'd have held her in my arms, and never let go... I anxiously await the day I'll be able to look into her eyes, and see her looking back..." He paused and took a deep breath, " But, I know everything will be alright...she'll always be with us. In spirit, in memory, adn in her teachings. If there's one thing I know she's shown every one of us, it's to just give love to all..." He turned to IOWW, " We'll miss you, IOWW..." He then broke down into tears, holding IOWW"s hand.
