a manga I wrote/drew a while back that I have shifted into a story...

REBELLION
PROLOGUE
Once there was a beautiful world called Nagisa (authors note- because I origanly made this a japanese comic all the names are japanese) The world was run by the kind royal family; The king, queen and their two lovely daughters. However, the king grew sick and died. Shortly after word the queen's personality made sudden shift; she grew to be cruel and evil and the whole kingdom was overcome with darkness. People say, the two princesses may have figured out what had changed the queen and tryed to escape and warn others, the oldest one didn't make it out of the castle and the youngest one, they say, made it out but the queen sent hunters to kill her so that no one would ever know what had caused the change.

CHAPTER 1

" " = talking * * = thoughts

"CUTE!!" A voice squeeled as a girl hran from shop window to shop window. She had sparkling green eyes and long brown hair that was pulled in a braid behind her.
Standing speechless a couple stores back were her three friends.
"People are starting to stare..." the first one commented she had Blue eyes and medium light brown hair.
"I know," the second girl said next to her, her eyes were golden and her white-blond hair only came halfway down her neck. " but I'd hate to spoil her fun"
"she is giving me a headache" The third girl muttered, rubbing her head she had black hair that stopped a little down her back and had amber eyes. The blue eyed girl nodded in agreement to her statment
"REN! MIKU!" the blonde one repremended " this is the first time any of us have been to the mall. We can't help if Akina is a bit...excited"
"A bit?" The other two asked.
"REN! SORA! MIKU!" Akina Yelled from now what was about ten stores away from her friends " I found the weirdest thing! you three HAVE to see it!"
Sora sighed *I guess I still ought to get her back on track* "Akina," she said, wallking up to her friend, "you do remember we're only here to fina a job because we can't stay at the orphange anymore"
Akina nodded, they all remembered the head mistress telling them that there was no more room with all the other children staying there, and besides all they were all 17 (actually Sora was 18) and were old enough to take care of themselves.
"oh....right" Akina was slowed down from her hyper rampage, but only for a second, she sudenly grabed miku's hand and pulled the black hair girl toawrds a door way " still you guys have to see this, it's not like any store here!" she cryed joyfully "it looks almost like a portal!"


okay I have a lot but this is it for now. you like?

This reminds me of something I've found odd in anime that I've seen. With a film being produced in Japan, then dubbed into English, I wouldn't be surprised if the characters looked Japanese but were given American-style names by somebody in charge of the American-release version. But what I've encountered is exactly the opposite: characters retain Japanese names even in the English-dubbed version...but many of them LOOK LIKE WHITE AMERICANS! Beats me why they do this. It similarly beats me why, even in productions FOR THE JAPANESE DOMESTIC AUDIENCE, characters who are clearly Japanese may still be given American-type names. Like the superhero Masked Rider--who is CALLED "Masked Rider" even in the JAPANESE-language form of his program.

What Akina found was a doorway, with out a shop attached. The girls stared open mouthed at it, except for akina, who was looking back from the portal to the other shoppers in confusion. Miku caught and watched the people; no one else had an expression of even the slightest suprise like they had. *did that mean* she thought " no one else can see it?" asked aloud.
The three didn't pay attention, the door had been opened and now all four stared in shock at the blackness inside that led to a tiny little light at the end in who-knows-where.
"Where do you think it leads?" sora asked after a long pause
"no where good, I bet." Ren replied. Her eyes still locked on the blackness.
Akina, who had always been known for being brave, but not very smart, grinned. "only one way to find out, right" and without another word walked in.
There was a large flash of light and then, to the other girls horror, Akina was gone.

Oh wow, that's awesome! I wonder where Akina went? :D
It's been a long time since you posted a chapter, I had to go back and re-read. LOL Keep going though, please.

After a long wordless pause Miku ( who was known for over reacting to everything) screemed.
"AKINAAAAAAAAAA!!! I'LL SAVE YOOOUUUU!!!!" and she ran into the portal; the same flash of light acompanied her exit.
Ren let out a sigh "Well," she said " my two predictions came true; Akina's gone crazy and miku wasn't far behind" she rolled her eyes.
"REN!" Sora scolded " Akina and Miku are NOT crazy!" she walked towards the portal " but nonetheless, we shouldn't just leave them in there. C'mon"
"alright already! I'm coming" Ren said as she and Sora walked into the portal, followed by another flash of light and then, nothing. The portal disapeared.
 
erm...okay.


Lighting Flashed over head followed by a loud KA-BOOOM of thunder. Deep in what looked like a never ending forest of dead trees a glowing portal popped up and four teenage girls fell out. Akina, Miku, Sora, and Ren stared open mouthed at where they had ended up.
"wh-where in the world are we?" Sora asked nervously.
"Are we even in OUR world?" Ren answered with a question of her own.
"um...guys," Miku said shaking "look down." They did.
Their modern yet dirty orphanage clothing had been replaced. Akina was now wearing a pair of brown-ish green pants, a long sleeve green cotton shirt, and a dark brown vest. Ren was in light blue pants and a very fancy looking blue long sleeve silk shirt. Sora was dressed in grey leggings and a pale yellow sort sleeve shirt with matching bracelets. Miku was wearing a japanese looking top that was dark red and orange and matching pants with a black belt. They all looked strangely like battle clothes.
After a long pause of staring at there clothing Miku screamed;
"HOW THE HECK DID WE GET IN THESE CLOTHES!!!"
Akina took a deep breath, trying hard to hide how scared and shocked she was. "well," she said, a little loud, " we know where this portal leads. Now let's head Ba-" Akina suddenly let out an ear piercing shriek.
"what!?" the other three girls asked nervously.
"The portal's gone!" Akina cried. Sure enough, there was no longer a glowing portal no mater where you looked. All there was was a forest of dark dead tree's creating creeping shadows in all directions.
"you- you mean we can't get b-back?" Miku stuttered, and then she completely blacked out.
