Reepicheep

Well.... to be completely honest.... I really don't like Reepicheep that much. But I can definitely appreciate the spiritual symbols/allegories that his character brings to the table.

I loved Reep in PC. But I actually liked the voice even better in VDT, so the voice change was absolutely fine with me.

There's a facebook group for Reepicheep, with nice photos from the films. Guess who's a member. :D

Hmmm, I don't know. He had crumbs all over his whiskers. He ate quite a few of these cupcakes, so I assume he liked them. :p

I had a dream about Reepicheep last night, believe it or not! :D We were eating zucchini cupcakes together. o_O

Really? Lucky you. :D

Finally I have a plush Reep. I've showed him to some of my pupils, they also think he's cute!
I'll post a photo, once I get someone to help me. ;)

I loved Reepicheep. He is my third favorite character. I was a little upset that he had a new voice actor but it wasn't really that bad when I saw the peformance in VOTDT. :)

Reepisheep is indeed an excellent character did he had any descendants? I mean after all he was the king of his people (the mice) was he not?

Descendants of Reepicheep, well, I don't recall him having any. But it would have been great if he had! :D Does anyone else know about this?

I have a plush Reep in the room, where I teach. Some of my small pupils like him very much. I also have a tiny recorder (flute), which fits him. We call it the Reepicheep flute. ;)

I really like Reepicheep. :)

"Oh my gosh, he's so cute."
"WHO SAID THAT?"
^ One of my favorite lines of Prince Caspian. :D

The person who they cast to be the voice of Reepicheep (not sure who it is, sorry) did a fantastic job.

Lullaby, welcome to the forums.

As for Reep's voice, it was different in the two movies. In PC, it was Eddie Izzard. In VotDT, it was Simon Pegg. Just for a fun trivia, it was Warwick Davis in the 1988 BBC Narnia miniseries. He went on to play Nikabrik in PC.

Thank you. :)

Wow, that's a pretty interesting fact. I never would've known he didn't have the same voice for both films. That said, it's been quite a while since I've watched VotDT.

Thanks for that. :)

Reepicheep is a great character, in books and films. What is especially remarkable about Reepicheep, in my opinion, is the kindness and forgiveness he showed to Eustace, despite the obnoxious way Eustace had treated him (and everyone else) when Eustace had a 'spot of bother' i.e had been transformed into a dragon. Whether he had any descendants is unknown, with no evidence for or against. However, it is perfectly feasible that he might have done so.

Awww! :D That sounds adorable. ^_^ Your pupils are lucky to have such a very awesome teacher. ;)

Thank you. :D Reep is a very good, skilled co-teacher. And having him there gives me the opportunity to tell people about Narnia.

Especially one girl is very fond of Reepicheep. They are three girls in a group, and while the others are playing, this girl sits with Reep on her lap! It looks so sweet.
I have also made a little song about Reep in my language, with only three notes in the melody, so it's easy to play. All my small pupils have played that song, and they like it.

Welcome to the Forum, NarniaLullaby. Another admirer of Reep, great. :)

Yes, Corin Thunderfist, Reepicheep shows great kindness towards Eustace. I like the development in their relationship very much in the VDT film.

Thanks! :)

I love the Eustace-Reepicheep friendship in the film so much. It's especially great when you look back to the beginning and see how much they fought; looking at what that eventually turned into is amazing.

Reepicheep has been one of my favorite characters in the series along with the Pevensies! So I am so happy about his fate and he was able to see the things that his father has just told him in the stories. He deserves that kind of fate for he is a loyal subject and also a brave one but with a soft-heart!...:) I will miss him though I will happen to see his character again in LB..:)
