Shasta, there are three ages of man. Believing in fantasies, Believing only in realities, and Realizing that all reality was originally God's fantasy. Which is to say never throw away the childlike with the childish. Always keep that sense of wonder. The older I get, the more I realize how much of the Great Everything is stuff we can't see or touch.

That sounds like what the inspiration for Peter Pan was.

Put two and two together. The lost boys and the real life orphanage and hospital for foundlings.

Oh, what you mean the story that Barrie himself was inspired by?

Barrie wanted Peter Pan to be a source of revenue for the orphanage/hospital. Writing the play made him more sensitive to the needs of children without families. That sort of thing often happens...writing the story The Visitor made me more aware of the trauma facing families with a member in a coma or suffering from a severe loss of function.

Through the course of many things, but particularly a story that you put your research into, you come across things that are unexpected that help your growth as an individual.

I would say that Disney understood that with Narnia's themes, thanks to the success Passion of the Christ the year before and The Prince of Egypt six years earlier told them there was an untapped target demographic they hadn't considered. In fact aside from PoE, it was one of the few major studio films to have a faith driven soundtrack. In fact both of their "inspired"albums were truly what I could call "inspirational' in the theological and spiritual sense.

I would say Alanis Morrisette and Imogene Heap were probably closer to the Teen/ya audience.
