Very happy looking people!

I am sorry to have been absent a couple of weeks. We were traveling, and then we got really busy ... while traveling we did some scuba diving, so I have a fresh batch of photos from the Caribbean ...

1. An arrow crab in a purple tube sponge -- the arrow crab is a very spindly looking small crab.

2. Candy cane shrimp - they are small red and white shrimp, real small, like an inch or two tall.ZAG
3. Cow fish peeking out of a crevice between coral heads. Cow fish have an exoskeleton so they're not a traditional "fish" shape.

Thank you! Yes, it does; I will see if I have a better shot so you can see how it is put together ...

It has a tall, skinny wedge-shaped head. It will skewer its prey on the top of its head to save for later. In the one shot, it looks like it has a wig on its head, not sure what's up with that.

Aww thanks :).

And I agree with LM! I'm so jealous :p thanks for sharing :)

Those are so cool and pretty! I bet you had tons of fun! Scuba diving sounds like so much fun!

Thanks y'all! Yah, I love scuba. I would stay down there forever if it were possible. Sometimes I think heaven will be like that, like floating through the ocean ...

here is a golden moray, and a lionfish.

I can not believe I am saying this, but the golden moray is super cute! The lion fish is super cool!
LOL! The golden moray if generally a very small eel, I have seen some about 6 inches long with small, delicate heads and features. That particular one was quite large as goldens go, maybe a foot long. I think they are cute!

The lion fish is a beautiful fish to behold, but quite poisonous and quite destructive out of its own element. They have come from Asia to the Caribbean, where they have no natural predators, and the mama's lay about a thousand eggs in each batch -- so they are rapidly overpopulating the reefs.

Very cool LM!! It kind of looks like where I live, except we don't have any good mountains as a backdrop :p Beautiful!

He looks like a grumpy grandpa! Haha! Fish truly are amazing! Thanks for liking my picture @ahyperdude and inkspot. And once the smoke clears I can get a better picture. Cause it truly is beautiful without all the smoke.

I hope you can start baking again soon! If you get the chance then you should make these! They're really nice because if you have extra, then you have a nice breakfast for the next day too! :p

that streusel cookie looks delicious!!!

i didn't bake anything sweet in a while, last night i basked cheeseburger pie ... it was very tasty ... but savory rather than sweet.

today i saw the space shuttle endeavor on the back of its plane; it was flying over our neighborhood. at first i just saw the nose of this gigantic plane way too low and i thought i was going to see a plane crash. then it slowly turned, and i could see the shuttle on its back. they were flying low so people could see it; i heard it on the radio.

only, i was in my car, waiting to make a left turn into my neighborhood, and i did not have time even to get my phone out and take a photo. i wish i had, it was way impressive! it was being moved from texas to california, i believe.

So while on our very short trip, I did get to take some pictures. So here are a few.

So where we were staying for a little, right down the rode where some donkeys. Aren't they cute?

And here is Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helen's. The first one is Mt. St. Helen's And then Mt. Hood.

Wow, very beautiful! I love that green forest and mountains. And of course donkeys are adorable.

Here is a chalk drawing I made of our previous dog Chance, if he went to a doggie dude ranch and met a nice poodle.
