Simon Pegg-Voice of Reepicheep

He was great as Scotty, is wonderful in the films he writes and directs. What could you possibly not like about him? I get it, you hate British people, ha ha. Just kidding.

My opinion of Simon Pegg being chosen to voice Reep has changed. I now have no concerns about his ability to potray are beloved noble Mouse. :)

i loved Eddie as Reepicheep, and now Pegg's doing it?
i mean he's an okay actor, but Eddie is like one of my favourite comedians, and personally, i think no other but him can do the voice of Reep :(
 
Eddie Izzard was great as the voice of Reepicheep. However, I agree that as long as he is portrayed correctly, I couldn't care less who does the voice.
 
Oh, and I watched the trailer, and I'd swear on a stack of Bibles they dubbed Reep's voice. And it's pretty interesting on Narnia.com, if you go to the characters part of the site, they list the actor for Reep as "TBA" (To Be Announced). Isn't that terrible? :p

During the last week of filming, Reepicheep is finally been casted. XD
 
I have no idea how Simon Pegg will do as Reepicheep, since I have not seen any of his movies. However, I am angry that Eddie Izzard isn't doing it. He is really great, and since Reepicheep is my favorite Narnia character (hence the unsername) I had looked forward to hearing him voice Reep.

I concure, Eddie did a brillant job as the voice of Reepicheep. I was hoping he would reprise the role, but alas it couldn't be so. Hopefully Simon Pegg will do a relatively good job filling in. In fact I have hope for Simon, he did a fantastic job potraying Buck in Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. :)
 
Yeah, it's fine when he's doing a role that nobody else has done. But when he's doing a role that had been filled by somebody else, it just isn't the same. It's like with Toy Story 3; the guy who played the slinky dog (Jim Varney) passed away not long after Toy Story 2's release, and the guy who replaced him wasn't that good. I missed Varney's voice.

If Simon can make me think twice about who is doing the character, and i don't have to think, "That's not Reepicheep from PC", then fine. But if I have to think to myself, "it's definitely NOT the same Reep from PC" then he's failed, imo.
 
Actually, BK wasn't judging Reepicheep's voice. He was just saying that he didn't know who Pegg was and that if it was convincing, he wouldn't care.
