Red Sox fan over here. Though, I don't usually follow baseball until weeks before the World Series.

Question: Why do they call it the "World Series" when it's only teams from around the U.S. that participate in it?

lol, Red Sox are ok...Braves are better

They do have a few international teams...Toronto Blue Jays...& a couple of others that I can't think of.
