Sonnets Here, In-House

Joe, all of your sonnets are so wonderfully written! I hope to be able to buy some of your work at the store someday, and your latest effort for Powl was so beautiful.

Joe, you are just getting better and better with every sonnet you do! THey are extremely touching and sweet. I would most definetly buy your work from stores in the future! :) Beautiful Work!

I've been reading these forever it seems, how have I not responded yet? They are so pretty, all of them so unique and yet all sonnets :D. Very great :D.

For Narnianqueen1......

....because she paid me the high compliment of calling me useful, so that I wish to be in fact useful to her.

A floating soul can only float so long;
A questing heart eventually arrives.
No matter what we often hear in song,
We need some solid facts to lead our lives.

To follow our own hearts will only prove
That we have feelings; everybody does.
But feelings just as easily can move
Us to delusion, when there's no "because."

In this I'm not just picking on you, dear;
The lecture is for any who will heed.
Emotion's not enough to draw us near
The Lamb of God, Who came to love and bleed.

Seek truth!--and see there's a specific way;
Then I'll know I was useful on this day.

For Simetra

In childhood, we had roleplay of a sort:
Live-action roleplay, whether as in war,
Or on a far-off planet; and in short,
We all were heroes, piling up a score

Of bad guys killed in battles done as mime.
This kept the players out of rivalry;
But plot requirements, just from time to time,
Called for an onstage villain--called for me.

The character portrayals came my way,
Not only villains--animals as well.
The starring role is easiest to play;
But more is needed. You and I can tell

That someone has to fill the story in;
Thus acting as the sinner is no sin.
