^ same here, great sonnet
[sorry if this is spamming on the sonnet thread but]
DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANI!!!! *tackles* My darling!!!!!!
I don't mind some hugging on my thread! Magsie, please try to persuade Dani to stay around....because in response to what she said here, I plan before this evening is out to write a sonnet which WILL be understandable to her with her limited English.

It was really nice. And simple for my brain too!!!You two, feel free to go on cuddling; I'm getting started now. When it's done, I'll put it in as an edit to this post.
LATER: Okay, girls, pry loose from each other enough to have a look! Dani, if there is any of it that you are not sure you understand, let me know.
Dayu Ardani is the proper name
Of Dani, as we know and love her here.
She is an Indonesian girl, who came
To Dancing Lawn, and soon was very dear
To Magsie and Vanessa, and to me,
Because her heart is gentle all the time.
But I'm the only one allowed to be
Her Grandpa in this family online.
I've tried to help her learn more English words,
Correcting her so she would get them right--
Especially the tenses of the verbs;
And when she sees this poetry tonight,
I hope it all is easy for her brain.
If not, I'll simplify it all again!

Just when I had given up on Vanessa taking me up on the invitation to choose a new sonnet recipient, she did it. So now I follow the recommendation of everyone's favorite little Dutch girl....
I wouldn't write this for a lesser man,
But I will write it for Sopespian.
In friendship terms, he is Vanessa's man;
So will I sonnetize him?--guess I can.
He brightens things up like a thespian;
Time spent with him will be a pleasant span.
In Random Facts it's hard to best the man;
But I'm not fighting him--I bless the man!
Before him is the world: a mess to scan,
He understands each cause of stress to man.
His voice for freedom should impress a fan
With solemn truth inside the jester-man.
Real evils in the world will test the man.
Can he stay true to Jesus? Yes, he can!
