Just a quicky....but are the Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse books good? Ive heard some people say, "I love it!", or, "It was a terrible book!" I thought it sounded good...but I just wanted some others opinions before buying or renting it.....so....good books?....or....bad books?:p
 
I think it depends on what type of books you like. Do you enjoy fantastic/horror books that have vampires in them? Also do you enjoy romance? Are you comfortable reading a book that would translate to a PG13 movie? If you do then go for it.
In my opinion they are fantastic books! I literally love every word in Twilight. New Moon is a bit frustrating but not style wise. Eclipse was fantastic. Also a tad frustrating but more so sets up Breaking Dawn...which I can't wait for. Stephenie Meyer is an gifted writer and her characters are well developed. They become so lifelike. Downside, they give you unrealistic ideas about men...seriously Edward Cullen (I feel like a traitor to say this too..) owns Mr. Darcy. Hands down! So yeah it's up to you! I would recommend them to any girl but I have seen it go both ways. It just depends on what you like.

Okay. Im definatly reassured now. :) And yes, they sound like books that I would like. I had heard people talking about the book and was thinking, "Eh...I bet its not THAT great." And then I saw the preview and thought, "Eh....I bet its pretty good." So anyhow....Im completly interested now. Thanks! ^_^
 
THe first one is so good you can open it up randomly and still start hyperventilating...my friend are decorating paper bags to bring to the movie! haha! Btw the only reason I added the PG13 thing was because my friend is borrowing my books and she stayed at someones house and the dad read over her shoulder and it got really awkward really fast. That family is kinda conservative about rules...
Just thinking about Edward makes me hyperventilate...my hero is one of my classmates Stefanie who recommended them to me! It's been about 1 years of vampire drooling! haha! I'm so sad I didn't pick it up of the new books shelf in 2005...
 
Her books are amazing!!I can't wait for the 4th one!:D
I'm a huge Jacob Black fan.:D
 
Afton - I've noticed that you've taken a liking to the Twilight series, alas that is not all that Mrs. Stephenie Meyer has written. I suggest, since you enjoyed the Twilight series, that you check out Mrs. Meyer's novel 'The Host'. It is a really great book. I loved it. If you want more info about it, just ask. :]

:rolleyes: How can one possibly be a fan of Edward Cullen...hes immature,a vampire,creepy..ect.........:pNo,I don't hate him,I just think he could be more....realistic......
I like Jacob because werewolves are the best in my opion,and Jacob is a more realistic character than Edward,imo..and I'm NOT against everything good..Vampires are traditionally evil and werewolves are traditionally good.So I ALWAYS prefer werewolves.

Not trying to be mean,but....Why do Team Edward members always pick on Team Jacob members?:confused:
