Strangest Movies

I know we have all seen those extremely odd movies that we kind of liked.

I have two that I remember watching when I was a young teenager (keep in mind I haven't seen these movies in a while so that will affect my plot synopses).

"The Peanut Butter Solution" A Canadian movie about a young boy who is dared to enter a house said to be hainted in his small village. He sees two ghosts in there and he gets so scared that he loses his hair. The ghoists, a nice husband and wife, feel bad and when the boy returns to the house(for reasons I do not recall) the ghost couple share a recipe to regrow hair, hence the movie's title. The boy makes up a batch and goes overboard with the application, making it so that his hair grows nonstop.
Meanwhile...a man is trying to get off the ground with his paintbrush factory. He wants to use human hair for his brushes, finds this boy with ever-growing hair, and kidnaps him. I believe he is also using other kidnapped children as his slave labor to make the paintbrushes.

All in all, just odd but I still want to find it to watch it again.

"Tommy Trisckter and the Stamp Traveler" A Canadian move where a young boy and his friend, Tommy, discover a rare stamp and the secret to being able to travel around the world on a stamp.

It has been too long for me to remember all of what happened in this movie, but it was odd. Anyone else have any weird movies that they still like?

Was that Stamp one a movie? I remember seeing that, but I thought it was, like a TV series? It's a cool idea.

Pan's Labrynth was a strange movie, but it was kind of horrible.

I hear Donnie Darko is strange, but I did not see it yet. I meant to rent it, but I have not had time ... Did anyone see it?

Hmmm....
the only thing that comes to mind is the movie "The Love Letter".Its a good film, but very..unusual.A man in the 1990s finds a letter a woman wrote in 1860...and for some reason, responds to it.He discovers,he can write to her,and she to him across time.It has very unsuual moments, like when he tries to save the life of the man she loves (himself,in a way),who he knows will be/was killed in the Civil War...

It has strange parts, but I liked it very much. The new 'Chocolate Factory' is very nice, but I was afraid of the old one when I was little.

And is there something stranger than Bubble Boy? That's one of the most ridiculous movies ever.

Donnie Darko is a really weird movie! I hated it and CATCF is awesome but Jonny is really weird in it. I think I prefer the original version. Willy Wonka was not so creepy :p

I hope your using sarcasm Inky. That was a good movie.
No, I really thought it was horrible. All the horrible stuff which happened to that llittle girl, and everyone else. It was terrible.
Hey.. do you like the new Willy Wonka movie or the old one better? Although I think Johnny is an AMAZING actor, I'd have to say I love the old one better with Gene Wilder. :D
I liked them both, but I would have to say Johnny Depp swings it in favor of the new one.

I love it when he walks into that glass elevator thing :D Haha.
"Corpse Bride" is kind of strange too. It's an animated film about this guy who's getting married to a pretty girl he likes but messes everything up at the wedding rehearsal. He goes into the forest at night to practice and accidently wakes up a corpse in the ground named Emily, who was murdered on her wedding day,and she thinks he wants to marry her.Once again, directed by Tim Burton :p I just love that guy.I think most of his movies (at least those I've seen) are a bit strange, but still good.I love Corpse Bride.

I saw the Love Letter...it was okay.. (I saw it when I was younger and not much into that kind of thing...actually, I'm not now either, come to think of it...)
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was good for seeing once.

The strangest movie I ever saw was The Ring. I like movies with explainations...

Did Tim Burton do that recent (last 5 years or so) version of Planet of the Apes? That was very strange, but I liked it. I think he made every scene look like a tableaux, visually very cool. The story was the same like the original movie, but the cinematography was cool -- which was weird because, you know, most of the actors were monkeys.

Yeah,he did.I've seen that one a few times and it's really strange, pretty good though.I used to like it a lot when I was younger. He met Helena Bonham Carter on the set for that one also.I remember her character clearly. She was the only monkey I wasn't afraid of. :D LOL
And I agree,The Ring was super strange.But cool.And creepy.
