Strangest Movies

Personally I very much dislike the movie "Lord of the Flies". No.. not Lord of the Rings. That would be awful!
But anyways.. it scared me half to death as a child and it's about these boys that get stranded on an island. And from there it all goes down hill. I'll just say they pretty much all become canabals in the end and it's just plain weird.

An animated movie version was made of Richard Adams' animal story "The Plague Dogs." The actual book was very good; but the screenplay writer, for no reason I can figure, decided to change the ending. In the book, the unjustly-persecuted dogs who are the main characters get rescued in the end, and all is well; but the movie has them die miserably. That is DUMB.

The Family man is a weird one
I kinda liked it ... It was like "It's a Wonderful Life" in reverse. He gets to live the dream life that George Bailey imagined for himself, and it's great -- then he gets a glimpse of what his life would have been like if he had chosen to get married and start a family rather than relentlessly pursuing business and adventure. Just when he realizes the family would have been so sweet --

Ah, well, I won't spoil the ending. It is kinda cool though.

CF, I never knew they made a Plague Dogs movie. Why, oh why, would they change the ending?! Was there ever a Watership Down movie?

Yes, the same animation company adapted "Watership Down" also. They didn't do as much damage as they did to "The Plague Dogs;" but one likeable rabbit gets killed who didn't get killed in the book, and the Black Rabbit of Death is emphasized more at the expense of El-a-Hrair-rah.

Weird!

Another strange movie is this Disney one from the 70's or 80's called "One Magic Christmas." It was on Hallmark channel the other day. Pretty bizarre for a Christmas movie ...
