Susan's geeky admirer

I felt sorry for him... I mean Susan was so mean... I felt her a little out of character... after all she is the "Gentle". Oh gosh... poor little kid :(

I'm checking out that Phyllis fanfic... I thought I was the only one who had thought of that

Fic looks good though. I'm giving geeky boy the name Arthur, and thinking of doing my own story

does anyone know the year Caspian takes place in? 1938? 1939? 1940?

You mean Earth year? Let's see.

The Battle of Britain occurred in the summer and fall of 1940 mainly. This was the time when London was bombed almost daily and as a result, children were sent to the countryside to keep them safe. That means this is the time of LWW.
So between LWW and PC, only one Earth year passes for the Pevensies, which puts PC in summer/fall 1941. Since the kids are going to school to begin their term, that will be the beginning of the school year in 1941.

In Narnia timeline I will have to check it out. I don't know right now.

Indeed, 1941 Earth time, 2303 Narnia time (according to the timeline).

I've decided to name the boy Michael for my story. I'm not writing romance with it, though. It's a post-LB story, and Susan and the geek are merely friends at this point.

oh  you really did, I'll see then :)

I thought it was good foreshadowing. She's starting to get noticed as "the pretty one," which Lucy will be jealous of in VDT. I thought the way Susan reacted to him, blowing him off then lying to him, was good foreshadowing for her later personality -- the way she cares more about appearance and how other see her than she does about Narnia and what she should have learned from Aslan.

well, I liked Caspian too :p

Lol, I liked his character, but it wasn't portrayed the way C.S. Lewis wanted it, though. Like I always thought he would me more admirative(if that's even a word) of Peter instead of all... I don't know how to explain it... all proud and everything.
But I did like him in the movie... a lot... ;)
