The Arwenites and Eowynites.

Sir Godfrey

Pelegrin Crucis
Tolkien's Legendarium is blessed with two strong and valiant wemon. Chief among them is Arwen Undomiel and Eowyn. One a beauty in the likeness of the stars, another a warrior at heart. This place is a haven for their fallowers or those who just adore these two fantastic wemon of the Lord of the Rings.

The War of Eru's Children:

The Eowynites have incited a war with the Arwenites. Now the Firstborns (Elves) shall do battle with the Fallowers (Men) for their insolence! But as always in war, one must choose a side, whom will you stand with? The Eldar? The Elves whom are fairest and greatest of Eru's creations? Or will you stand with the crude and barbaric race of Men whom choose to dwell in wooden shacks and clad themselves with bear skins?

Arwenites:

*Those loyal to the Evenstar.

I absolutely love the characters of Arwen and Eowyn. They're both so good and noble and honorable. Although I think I'm a bigger fan of Eowyn than I am of Arwen (I still like her though). They are much better role models than other women and girls in some modern novels.

Well put.. I myself am an Arwenite.. which I suppose is obvious due to my avvie. However I do love Eowyn too.. for her strength, devotion, and warrior like heart which is in the likeness of my own. However I am echanted by Arwen's beauty and her gentle nature. :)

I have always liked Arwen over Eowyn...even though I prefer Eomer over them all. ;)

Prehapes You should start an Eomerites thread. :D

I prefer Eowyn over Arewen, mainly because she cared alot for her family and she was a courageous fighter.

Eowyn I think did a wonderful job of breaking the mold. For a long time wemon were only potrayed as maidens or damsels in distress, but not Eowyn. She ended up being the knight in shining armor. She brought down the WK with a fateful final blow. She also was a woman of great sarrow who bore the woes and heart ache of her people.

When I thought about what PJ did with Aragorn being torn between Arwen and Eowyn in the films, I realized he actually borrowed this from Tolkien's own conflict. Tolkien originally wanted Aragorn and Eowyn to be together. However in the end he decided to make Arwen Aragorn's spouse instead. So in a way the movie depicts Tolkien's own conflict between choosing which noble lady should be Aragorn's wife. :)

I of course think Aragorn and Arwen are ment to be together, but I do wonder or am curious what would have happened if Aragorn and Eowyn had ended up together.

Lovely, I'll join because Eowyn is like one of the most awesome girl characters ever

and Twilightdryadhobbit argues for why Arwen is awesome all the time...

What's interesting or rather funny is that Arwen has hardly a role in the LOTR books. Eowyn is the herione of the story. However since Liv Tyler potrayed Arwen in the films, Arwen has become more popular as a character. :)
