Hello umm this is a group I've decided to start it called "The Blue Stag" well I'm gonna come up with a better name (any suggstions) but this is for Christians who like Harry Potter...the series...so yeah I hope you like

I don't know what you could call the thread. Sorry, but I am a HP fan I love both the movies and the books dearlie. BTW, I like you siggy! The lampost has a lot of meaning!!

THANKS!!!! Umm if you come up with any name s tell me THANKS!!!! I am also EmmaWatsonCrazy but I don't get on it much so I decided to make this one and it's more Christian but anyway I do get on EWC everyonece in a while so I might be on there...

Oh, let's think about it. Since Harry's patronus is a stag, and in the ancient church a stag was a symbol for Christ, we could do something with that ... I'll give it some thought over the weekend while I am offline, but if you come up with something good in the meantime, go with it. Also we could look at some of Dumbledore's quotes about love, somethig in there might jump out at us.

really? I never knew that! cool! but yeah, I like HP and I'm a Christian. my dad is a pastor!! I was just re reading HBP for probably the third or fourth time. one of my favorites. Harry Potter is one of the many fantasy series I like. I don't see quite why Christians don't like him sometimes. it's just another Fantasy series. I may know of some who don't like Narnia. or LotR for some of the same reasons though. it's wierd

Hmm, some Dumbledore quotes about love, eh? Well, one that I was reading in Half Blood Prince recently jumped out at me. Dumbledore and Voldemort are having a "discussion" at Hogwarts, and they say this:

Voldemort: "The old argument....But nothing I have seen in the world has supported your famous pronouncements that love is more powerful than my kind of magic, Dumbledore."

Dumbledore: "Perhaps you have been looking in the wrong places"

I thought it kind of related to us as Christians, because love doesn't come from the world, it comes from God, and if your looking for true, perfect love in the world, from people who don't know God, you aren't going to find it.

Anyway, I thought that was kind of an interesting paralell you could draw. Let me know what you think about it, and thanks for starting the group. (But should it be in the Wood Between the worlds instead of the duffers, since it's more serious, less random? I dunno...)

Unfortunately I have very very few characters left in my signature and wouldn't be able to fit it in... :( Sorry.... All I need is for the Mods to let us put more characters in our sigs... :D
 
i very much enjoy the harry potter books, and Im a believer in christ...

DoE92, believing in Aslan is kinda like believing in Jesus, only try this - imagine what Aslan did happened in real life...
