Glad you are back. Things are so slow here at the Dancing Lawn. With no movies everyone is so quite. I went to the other Narnia web site to see if they were talking about anything, but they have an habit of cutting off people. And I wasn't even saying anything controversial. I try to spice thing up here at TDL but nothing. I asked people if Lewis was a misogynist because of THS thinking everyone would come to Lewis' defense, and only Inkspot came to his rescue. I wish this lull would end.:(

Thanks Timmy. I think TDL in general is quieter these days. The folks I counted as my close friends (with the exception of two or three) have all left the forums without a trace of how to contact them. I miss the old days. Course, back then, I also opened my mouth more than I should have. Years have made me a bit wiser in some regards. ;)

Timmy - thanks for your (ahem) contributions. With the rush of school starting (August 12!) somehow your misogynist thread completely slipped by me. 0.o

It reminds me of some dreadful lectures that I was given as a Christmas present of a professor who obviously had not read the Chronicles very closely and who then tried giving a lecture about them. Not a good idea! He missed details like saying Peter killed Miraz in Prince Caspian...

As for me I will be without Internet this weekend till Monday evening. Happy Labor Day!
 
I'm finally back! I'm sorry to have been away so long. There has been a lot going on in my life, and as I'm trying to balance school, work, friendships, and writing, I haven't been online in general nearly as often, and it's been way too long since I've been involved on this site. I'm sorry to have abandoned you guys, and plan to be more active here in the future.
 
I have been MIA for a few days now and I just logged on to say that I'll be gone for a few more, probably another week or so. My job is keeping me really busy and I expect it to go on getting buys until at least the middle of October. I will try to log in now and then. Until then, see you laterz gaterz.
 
And then there's my jury summons. I am to report to the county courthouse on October sixth. Not all summoned persons actually sit on a jury. If I do end up serving, I do hope that I _won't_ be the only person who is looking at facts honestly while the other eleven all follow some emotional impulse in _opposition_ to the truth.

I received a jury postcard on two separate occasions and have yet to actually "serve time". lol

Have you ever watched "12 Angry Men"? It's a great jury movie! :cool:
 
I guess I'm back..? The length of my stay will depend on how many people I know are actually still active on here (I mean, how many of thegirls are still here?)
My main thought upon returning was "..I don't remember those people being mods."
 
I'm with Shadow_Kitty. Lots of changes around here but at the same time not a whole lot has changed. I may or may not be on here regularly. My life is crazy being a junior in college but we'll see.
