Up and down and up and down and up and left and right and back up and lean left and close your eyes and whirl anti-clockwise and pat your tummy and cartwheel to the right and pause for breath.
WHILE still gasping and panting, let me reiterate the scientific fact that everything changes and the changes get changed.
Within the last few hours, Evening Star and Wood Nymph were being driven to distraction in their efforts to get me back onto Dancing Lawn. VPN installation worked until it didn't. I became so stressed out by the surrealism that I figured, what could I lose by registering a THIRD identity (the second, of course, having been the sorely missed Mister Eclectic)? I figured on calling my newest persona Silver Fox; he would have had to pick up the loose ends of everything from First Love of Alipang Havens to Jackalhound on the Trail.
>>>> It was enough to make me utter imaginary obscenities, like "Poobeedoo! Shiggabop! Gutflak!"
This, I reasonably figured, was valid provocation for me to distinguish Silver Fox by assigning him his own storytelling voice. John Pepper the Jackalhound, sweetheart of Zelda Bolt, had spoken in first person, as if aware of the reader's existence. It remained, then, for Silver Fox to narrate in PRESENT tense. This would be like someone summarizing a storyline. Example: "In The Last Jedi Disney goes out of its fricking blugdubbing way to sabotage a beloved hero because girl power girl power girl power and if you don't like it you're a hate-mongering bunka-dong, so THERE!"
In sum, I plan to write at least one brand-new story with an omniscient narrator for its time stream.
And I'll say, "This is the TYPE of story that Silver Fox would write if there were a Silver Fox."
