NOTE TO MODS: This thread is part of the on-going Pirates/Knights/Isengarders RPG we have going here in the Dawn Treader forum, but it will only be a temporary thread. After the "coronation ceremony" is concluded, we will ask for it to be locked. Sorry for all the hassle! :o

The Wizard Saruman showed no sign of fear as he walked up to the large doors of the great Castle of Cair Paravel. He held his head up high and proud, swathed in his robes of many colors that awed and amazed the two guards who stood at ease, flanking either side of the doors. They knew at once who he was.

"Enter, lord," they said, though not without a hint of disgust.

The doors were opened and the Wizard entered the castle. Nothing else could be heard in that great hall except for the echoing of the Wizard's black staff as it struck the floor each time he stepped forward.

He was ready for this momentous occasion, though he hardly thought it grand or splendid....

ooc: Gentle Susan is going to be crowned the new Queen of Narnia in our RPG. Hannah has retired.
 
Captain QA48 stood in front of the doors of Cair Paravel. She turned from it to address her Pirates.

"Alright Mateys, before we go in, I want ye lads to keep it peaceful, keep in friendly, Don't start any fights, don't steal anything that shines! And keep a watcful eyes on the Wizard at all times! But makes sure ye don't get noticed doing so!"

With that said the Captain marched inside Cair Paravel passing through its doors. The First Mate and the Carpenter were behind her, then IOWW and FYN, Lucy and Elashia followed behind them, as well as Dwight and Esmeralda, and so did the whole crew of pirates....

When they entered the coronation room, the Wizard was already there socialing with the leaders of an unknown land. Some of the ISengarders where spread through out the room. The captain took a deep breath as she turned to the Pirates. "Well, have fun, and make sure to keep an eye!" she said as she motioned for them to spread out. She walked over to what seemed to be a princess and introduced herself. " 'Ello there matey, I be Captain QA48 of the Black Spot"
 
The Wizard glared at the captain as she entered the grand hall, for he had remembered his duel with her and the words she had spoken to him. He whispered quietly to the King of Delymarton, "That one over there, so savagely clothed, is a pirate and one of little honor in these lands. Long has she been a thorn in my side."

"We know of those pirates well," said the rough-looking king. "They are indeed barbarians, who have pillaged neighboring lands. I should have thought better of this new queen of Narnia than to invite such beasts here to this ancient dwellingplace!"

"Do not be fooled," the Wizard responded with a low, smooth voice. "This new queen of Narnia is bad news, great king. Strengthen your borders, and keep in touch with Archenland at all times, I counsel you."

There were many Numenoreans who kept close council with Sean at the coronation as well, they were mingling quite nicely with the other guests, but they kept a wary and unseen-even by Scaryman himself-eye upon the wizard... :D
 
The Captain noticed the Wizard and the King talking while glancing to where she was. She gulped whatever was left of her drink and put it on a silver plate a Faun was holding while passing by. She started walking towards them when she was suddenly stopped by one of the Rangers. "Cap'n how are you! I was actually awating the arrival of the pirates!" Lirssel (fictional ranger)said.
The captain put on a fake smile as her first attempt to get to the wizard went out the balcony. Strike one! "Aye, Lirssel! I haven't seen ye since we fought together at Anvard, near the......" QA48 stopped herself as she reminded herself that she was ought to keep it peaceful. Lirssel looked around to makes sure no one was near both of them. "Did ye see the Wizard?" she asked the Captain.
"Did I see him? How 'bout, did I hear what he just said?!" she replied. "I was actually on me way over there to introduce meself to both of them..."

Lirssel took a grape from a Faun that was passing by. "Aye, I be careful If I were you! For my part, I will do my best to advoid that wizard! He brings a bad vibe!" Lirssel told the Captain.
 
Being one of the few Rangers that have showed up so far, and being new Emmy didn't know who everyone was, or even who the big guy in the middle that everyone was staring at was. She passed by many people who was wondering who she was and all she could say was, I'm the new Ranger and then moved on closer to the man.
 
"And you say, Lord Saruman, that Archenland's borders are extending?" said a very interested Queen Salmanutha, of a neighboring land.

"Indeed so, good queen! Since the unfortunate departure of Good King Cor II, Archenland has since seen prosperity. The citizens are quite pleased. I have begun great renovations to the castle at Anvard, making it a more welcoming and hospital castle. Such refurbishments have been necessary, to say the least. You have found a great friend in Saruman the Wise!"

So the Wizard was striking up various deals of different kinds with kings and rulers from different lands, pleasing them with words that hinted of their own political and cultural gains and interests. He kept an eye on the pirate captain, having seen her draw closer. What trouble is she planning to cause now, he thought to himself.

A tall Numenorean grabbed Emmy gently by the arm and took her aside before she could reach Saruman. "Beware of the Robed One in the middle of the room, he usurps the throne of Archenland, and though he claims friendship with the Rangers he has betrayed them." He whispered in her ear. :D

The captain overheard the new ranger as she was making her way to the Wizard and his new friend. Strike two!

"Aye, ye said ye were the new ranger?" She asked Emmy.

"um...Yes..." Emmy extended her hand to the captain and shook it.

"Well, Welcome to....Well I be Captain QA48."

"There are pirates in here?" Emmy asked confused. "ohh...No wonder I saw a huge ship with the black flag on it. I just never thought a female captain would comandeer it!" Emmy said.

"ARr, Aye! I get that a lot! But if ye notice, us females 'ave been playing the game of courage, love, and war fer a while now! Narnia's last queen, Queen Hannah, the soon to be crowned queen susan. The leader of the Rangers, Elindil!"

The Wizard had parted from some of the new friends he had made, and went out to the balcony to regard the sea. He stood there with his staff in one hand, a glass of wine in the other, and - for once in a very long time - just enjoyed the view and the surroundings...though he was ever conscious of the unwanted company also present at Cair Paravel with him.
 
Before she could get an answer, a pirate pulls her aside. She finds out she is the Captian.

Of course his view was ruined when the saw The Black Spot about half a mile away from the beach. "Someday I will destroy that ship!" he thought. He threw his glass of wine against the floor. A faun was passing by and was caught off guard. The Wizard felt embarrassed that for a moment his true colors might have been witness by a faun.
 
The Wizard raised an eyebrow. "How dreadful! It slipped right out of my hand!" The Faun gave a skeptical look, but dared not question when the Wizard's darkling eyes met his own. He immediately cleaned up the mess, leaving behind a scowling Saruman.
 
Emmy heard the sound of shattering glass, and went to see what was happening, she saw the "robed one". Their eyes met, but she quickly looked away.
 
The Wizard smiled at her. "Oh do not be shy! You are a ranger, that I can tell by the clothes you wear! But will you not introduce yourself? I am Saruman, ever a friend and ally to the Lady of the Rangers, Elindil!"

Another fool, the Wizard thought.
