On board U.S. Navy vessels, if a crewmember antagonizes enough shipmates, he is likely to find himself grabbed and wrapped up with strong duct tape. The victim has to be helped to get free afterwards; but the command never allows him to be taped up for long, because what if there were a fire on board just then?
In my own experience at sea, no one ever had this done to him unless he had REALLY been asking for it.
