The LWW on ABC:

The first harry potter movie had Christmas in it, briefly and also I think the 4th one did with the yule ball. I guess that gives abc an excuse to play some of the harry potter movies.

I wish they would have stuck to most of the classic Christmas movies.

Yes it does and I have seen aired quite a few times on Disney last year or earlier this year. I don't care if I own the movie or not, I still watch it when they come on tv also, and knowing other Narnia fans are watching it, too!

Harry Potter is aired during 25 days of Christmas because in the books there's a lot of Christmas scenes, and some of the movies have them in there too.

From what I saw on the site, ABC Family will have LWW on its 25 Days of Christmas line-up. I don't know when yet as the linked TV schedule only goes up to Nov 25. I didn't see PC on the list, though.

They only put LWW on their lineup because 1. it was released in December, so it's considered a "holiday" film (same thing with HP; they put it in their christmas lineup because I think all those movies were released around the Christmas holidays), and 2. PC hasn't been out on dvd long enough for them to put it on cable tv.

Movies are typically out on dvd for approximately 3 years before cable tv shows them. They did that with LotR, and it seems like they do it for every movie.

It may also be in the Countdown to 25 Days of Christmas line-up, which starts on Nov 21.

Three HP movies have been "holiday" releases: SS/PS, CoS, and GoF (all around mid Nov). The other three have been June or July releases. If you are correct, Aravis, that they wait for about three years, that would explain why PC isn't there. If they keep LWW on the list, they may also do the same with PC.

Of course, I think it's ridiculous to show "holiday-released" movies when they arent' technically holiday films...

Besides, when you have the movies on dvd there's almost no point to watch them on TV. ;)

The movie is coming on ABC tomorrow night at 8pm (Eastern time). This is the main ABC broadcast channel, not the cable channels.

Hmm, even though Disney isn't distrubting the films any more... what a PERFECT way for Walden to help promote VDT. Show the original, and insert a few TV spots and behind the scenes special sneak peaks at the Dawn Treader into the breaks!

I've seen TV spots durring all the Christmas specials and cartoons, and those aren't all owned by Disney or Fox.

Too bad I don't have a tv in my dorm room, because I would love to see what footage and stuff about VOTD they are showing! I saw the movie today and it was truly fantastic. I loved every minute of it, and how they( spoiler alert) had the artwork from the book as the credits were rolling. That was ever so surprising! VOTD is my favorite book of the series, and I was completely happy with the adaptation. The ending was very emotional and powerful too.
