I think everyone knows where the film was filmed and I know people would love to go there or even have been there. It's a amazing isn't it. New Zealand is a must go place to visit I have to agree. I went for a month with my family it was when the third LOTR's was filming but unfortnantly I didn't see anyone famous there. *sighes* You know I think the next time you go on holiday to must tell your parents to go to NW. I would recommend it. I would go again any day.
so did you go to queenstown?? I live in Queenstown!! it quite close to where LOTR was filmed and some of the crew came to our resturant....

Holland rocks though too!!!! I loved Amsterdam!! I love Dutch guys!!! LOL

New Zealand has got to be one of the tourist hot spots of the CENTURY with all the filmmaking and how famous it's become for the Middle Earth and Narnia landscape...but even long before those movies, the place was a treasure to visit. I hear that there's no poisonous critters there ( ugh, like Australia, no offense to Aussies because I'd like to visit there too) and most of the birds are flightless because there aren't any large mammal predators around to eat them.

What the heck am I saying?! I have been watching too many Animal Planet show LOL.

But seriously, maybe in a year I might have enough dough to go first class there to NZ and meet...Kiwi men. ;)

Well, if anyone came to NZ, they have to came to Wellington and take a ride on the cable car and viset Te Papa, the national musem.

So Kate, which town is it that you live in and when did the cast viset it?
Owea is just norh of Auckland. anyone else want toc ame to NZ?

Sometime this year I'm going up to Wellington to see the Te Papa museum! I can't wait - either Wellington or Chrristchurch which I've already been - but I want to go to Christchurch to go see where they filmed the battle and all that, and try find Anna's arrow she shot! lol!

In gerogie's journal it says:Hi, this is me, Georgie. I'm here at the lion place where we came to see the lions. We saw a lion called Aslan (Zion) and his sister was called Narnia. Craig, whos's also known as the lion man, got him out of his cage and Andrew and William went up to take a closer look at him. He's a bit of a teenager and he's very, very moody. Though he's nice. We saw the white lion cub and his name was Gondor and was accompanied by another lion cub called Shakaka, though Shakala wasn't a white lion cub. I got licked by Gondor and he had such a rough tongue and he had such blue eyes and such a spacious nose and mouth that he looked like a stuffed toy. It was amazing! They were so cute and we got loads and loads of pictures. When we started to go, the lion was roaring her head off. She just had such a power! We're on our way home now. This is me, Georgie, Bye.

THAT MEANS THEY PASSED MY HOUSE GETTING THERE! AGHHHH! LET ME SCREAM AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS! *I wish I went to the lion park that day!*

I often see the Lion Man and his girlfriend (Now seperated) driving to get their mail or in the supermarket and you kiwis might remember on tv 2 on Sunday's the lion Show with the song "He's the lion man, doing what he can, to protect a human nature in our hearts" or something like that!

*Note: Those names of the tigers and lions are fake!

So teach me a little about Kiwi culture. Where does that term KIWI come from? Is it because of the national bird? When was New Zealand officially made a country? I remember seeing that movie the PIANO with Anna Paquin, Sam Neill ( HOT KIWI GUY) and Holly Hunter. It was taking place in the 1840's I think, and New Zealand seemed pretty sparsely populated.

Wait, the lion or Craig was very, very moody LOL?

What is the Te Papa museum, is that a Maori museum ? I hear that New Zealand has great respect for the Maori culture. I know Kiri Te Kanawa the opera singer is from there, and also...there was a movie called ONCE WERE WARRIORS directed by Lee Tamahori, about this working class Maori family ( A great and compelling drama by the way) and the hardships the mother endured.

Kiwi, is our national bird! It's just a short term KIWI, New Zealander's are Kiwis, is what everyone says! We also have the biggest Warehouse in the Southern Hemisphere and since you northerns don't have warehouses I live in town where we have the biggest warehouse in the world!
Kiwi, is a flightless bird!
NZ, officiaily made a county it has been a country since Captain Cook found us and the treaty was signed with the maori and the Queen.
The Treaty Of Waitangi and if you ever come to NZ that would be something that most people would recomend you to go see!
There are three islands, North, South and Stewart, Narnia only went to the North and South because Stewart is too small!
The lion was a moody teenager not Craig! lol
Craig goes in and rides Zion, the lion based around Aslan;s back!
The Te Papa Museum is in Wellington and it has heaps of things about Lord OF The Rings in it, and I think they're adding Narnia! It is called Te Papa because it is in Te Papa!
Alot of people think that NZ is all about maori culture, and we all speak it, we do kapa haka, and we do the haka like they showed girls singing in the CHILDRENS JOURNEY - NZ ain't all about that, you know. I hardly sing kapahaka, i never do the haka and I can only speak a few Maori words!

I didn't say that New Zealand was all about Maori culture LOL I said that there was a lot of it there since that's where the Maoris live. At one time their culture was suppressed like Native Americans' culture was here in America.

Warehouses? You mean big buildings where they store stuff? We have tons of warehouses in the US.

She means The Warehouse. It's a big store in NZ. They tried going to Australia aswell, but that didn't work out. They were running at a loss. It's like Target, and Walmart, and K-Mart.

Also, if any Maori try and tell you that they are the Indigenous people of NZ, They aren't. They were only here for a couple of hundred years(If that long) before the first european settlers arrived.

I did meet a Maori guy who told me that actually. So he lied?! I have to go and beat him!! LOL Even though he's a foot taller than me.

Yip. Pretty much. They seem to think that they are Indigenous even though it has been scientifically proved beyond anybody else's doubt, that they are not.
