The Noble Collection

Ouch...I just noticed you can't order anything from that website to countries outside USA...that means I need to order through e-mail or telephone..at least that's what they say...how stupid....how much extra work for me! *LOL*

The shipping will be costly for that wardrobe thing if the package weighs more than three pounds. That's like, the magic number. Above three pounds to Europe and it gets very expensive for shipping.

Yeah I know...*gasp*

Speaking of wardrobe, does anyone have the wardrobe lobby prop in their collection?
That giant cardboard one? I saw it for sale on ebay for five dollars, but it said you had to come and pick it up yourself, and at the time, it was all the way in Baltimore Maryland. I think one of the newer members does have it, Tim...her name is Lady Liln. She posted a picture of it on the collector's thread, and also even has a lamppost replica she bought at some store.

yep, here's my precious pile of cardboard:
wardrobela4.jpg

imagine carrying that up 5 flights of stairs! lol

and that jewelry box...ohh how i want that! i almost died when i saw that catalog. a wardrobe jewelry box is on my "list of narnia things that i've wanted my whole life that are now available b/c of the movie," along w/ the plush aslan, tumnus scarf, narnian shield, and a bunch of other stuff. i have a wooden jewelry box w/ drawers in the middle and doors on either side that always had to stand in as a sort of wardrobe so all my dolls could venture into narnia when i was little...but this one is so much better!

Thanks for sharing your picture. That's quite a big piece. I take it by your mention of stairs and the appearance of the trusses on the ceiling that you live in a multistory apartment or dorm.

yes, that was my dorm room. when my friend and went to pick it up at the store that gave it to me, we had to take it apart and re-assemble it in the dorm lobby, which took an hour...then it took 3 people to carry it upstairs...haha.

Why didn't you reassemble it in your room?

there were way too many pieces to keep up with--some big, some small...and would have required several trips anyway, plus the risk of losing some...and the dorm rooms are too small and cramped to have to be turning it over and around and whichever way we needed to reach.

Ah! You would have never made it on my 'Quadruplex disassembly/reassembly team'. We move giant videotape machines by taking them to manageable pieces, moving the pieces and reassembling them in the final location. The real challenge though, was finding people who understood this 30+ year old technology enough to help me move it!

lol, well i certainly could have used your help then. the thing is, and i forgot, one of the main reasons we couldn't reassemble it in my room was my friend who was the main person helping me was a guy and he wasn't allowed on my floor!

thanks :D

Can I ask where you got some of your plushies? I'm having a hard time finding lion stuff. The last one I got was the one at Walgreen's.

most of them i've had for 10 or 15 years +, but the latest one i got was from toys r' us. they have several, but some of them are kinda goofy-looking. the one i got was $5.99...or maybe it was $6.99...i don't remember. there's another one that looks almost just like mine but bigger and was about $10.99...but they were sold out of that one when i went back there. :( they're rather small and not fierce at all, so you couldn't pass them off as aslan. :p they're super adorable though.

*gasp* same here. That jewelry box is gorgeous!!!! This is a pretty old thread, so I'm wondering if they are still selling the items. I hope it's not sold out!

Oh, I think I remember getting a magazine from that company a while ago. Unfortunatly the stuff in it are only a dream to own. I would like that wardrobe though, but alas only a dream.
