the offical Lara Croft/Tomb Raider Club

Yeah, and the Underworld gameplay is rubbish because they just concentrated on making it look pretty and the graphics aren't even that good.

You know, Underworld was kinda boring. I stopped playing it in the third or fourth level I think. I might pick it up again later.

On the Tomb Raider forum I belong to: tombraiderboard.com a lot of people are complaining about Underworld, how it was too easy, it was rushed, and we didn't get a lot of the things we were promised. We were told we could zoom in on Lara's face and look at her expressions because her face was updated with more pixels or whatever so she could express more, and we were also promised a camera so we could take pics in the game, and we were also promised more exploration. For the exploration, they just made it look like the area went on forever but our exploration was very limited.

I did like the new moves, like the wall kick and being able to stand on top of poles and that she was given scuba gear so we wouldn't lose a bunch of health trying to do the first puzzle under water.

I did like Lara's new look, but I didn't like how she was soft and she lost her toughness.

I actually liked her that way in anniversary. It's real refreshing to see something like that after playing vicious and violent games where DUDES KILL WITHOUT REMORSE AND ARE INCREDIBLY STRONG. She doesn't need to be tough anyway, because she ACTUALLY HAS FEELINGS UNLIKE EVERY OTHER CHARACTER IN GAMING.

True. They are both valid points. But I didn't like Underworld nearly as much as Legend. The PS2 version felt like no effort was put into the making of the game.

Wahoo!! Know Becca's on her way to get the second scion piece!!! The Tomb of Tihocan level. It's really hard. Has anyone actually finished Annervairsry, and if so, could you tell me what happens at the end please?

I think Lucy Fan finished it. She posts here from time to time as she is also a great Lara Fan. But I think you can find out online. I know there are at least videos in YouTube about the final boss fight (teaches you how to do it). I never got to that part though. I got tired from the stupid camera angles.

I also like to play the games to explore Croft Manor. Seeing the burning mansion in Underworld was so upsetting. I knew it was going to happen, but I still didn't like it. Also, seeing the upgraded mansion to better graphics made it even more sad because it looked more real than the others.

I hope in the next TR game we can have a mansion that isn't burning and one that can have more interaction with objects, etc.

I never really liked the rewriting of Tomb Raider's backstory from Legend onwards.

Basically, it seems like they're making the game like the movie, and as that movie was awful, I don't approve of that idea.

The game felt a little short to me, Tomb Raider games used to average 12-15 levels. Underworld had 6 levels. That puts it just above Tomb Raider III Gold (5 levels) in terms of content.

I never got to the end of Anniversary myself, but it ends with Natla turning into her true form and being buried beneath the rubble of the Great Pyramid as it is destroyed. See Underworld for the continuation/finale of that story.

Personally, I never really understood the Underworld version of Natla. In the original game, she was just a normal woman with an extremely high intelligence. She had no special powers and was definitely not a goddess! And the part about the Midgard serpent also made no sense, Natla's goal was not total destruction of all living things, she just wanted everlasting war to "create superior species".
