the offical Lara Croft/Tomb Raider Club

We don't have any platform that goes online and even if we did I doubt we would as no one in our family cares. It's more about having fun and enjoying yourself :)
I know you guys play for fun. But now it's easy to play games online. For example, my PS3 automatically connects online when I turn it in (on my home wifi). The Xbox also connects through wifi (the newest model). And not to mention pc games. They are all easy to access the online play.

But anyway, it doesn't sound like the new TR is fun if, as it seems, the amount of fun you get depends on you're skill level. If that's the case then I'm cooked!!!

I know what you mean. I am medium-skilled at best, and can only ever get through with walk-throughs :D There's another new one coming out at some point, where she's really young apparently. I hope it's good.

Walkthroughs are a must for me in most games! I can not, for the life of me, figure out the puzzles and decide what path to take next. First of all, I'm too lazy to spend time trying to solve the puzzles. Second, I'm to chicken to take one path cause I'm afraid a giant robotpirateninja from outter space will come out once I round the next bend. LOL!

LOL! Like in Anniversary, you complete one of the beginning levels, and as soon as a the screen that says what medals and stuff you've got, you get attacked by a bear. And the place is a really narrow stairway as well!

As far as I know, a Railgun is a fixed base weapon that shoots large projectiles great distances.

It's normally equipped on ships at sea and quite large ones.

Stargate Atlantis also featured some smaller versions which fired a stream of heavy bullets, designed for shooting down enemy aircraft.
Though that was a fictional show, the gun looked real, so I'm assuming it was an actual piece of military hardware.
And since the Department of Defense works closely with Stargate to make sure the military details are accurate, it's quite likely that was a real gun.

Although I'm wondering how Lara could carry around something like that, since you have to screw them down to a hard metal surface in order to fire them (lots of recoil!).
But since I never met that challenge, I guess I'll have to go on wondering.

I eventually did finish the game, but stopped playing it, at least for now.
They don't have the multiplayer option ready yet and the content updates aren't ready, so I don't have a reason to look at it again until those things come out.

Ohhh... Big shiny guns! I just like to play, although many people seem to think that girls that play games where you actually have to try hard to get through have no life.

Remind me to talk about World of Warcraft sometime.

I'm smart enough not to play that game, but I've heard it's the kindof game where people get all obsessed about playing it.

The one video I saw on YouTube was a recording over TeamSpeak with a kid verbally abusing his parents and then there was a loud crash, which probably meant the violence wasn't so verbal anymore.

Unfortunately, the "success" (note I use air quotes) of WoW has spawned endless clones and fantasy games.

As a primarily sci-fi fan, I find this annoying, going into stores and seeing a whole bunch of games I won't buy.

Even had a WoW clerk at one of these stores spend an hour trying to get me to play!

But my vitriol is mostly relating to the fact that Tabula Rasa, the only real sci-fi mmo was killed (not cancelled, killed!) and Stargate Worlds future is heavily in doubt at the moment.

I don't play WoW. I tried, but couldn't stand it. It was too slow, going here and there doing menial stuff was so annoying. I'm glad they give that stupid 14 day trial. I didn't even last one!! But other gamers I have here at home play it and love it. Go figure. Maybe we should start a WoW thread.

I never liked WoW. One reason is my laptop can not handle the stuff that is needed to run WoW smoothly and without crashing all the time. Besides, I have read news reports about some people actually lost their jobs, got divorced and/or worse because their lives are now consumed by WoW. I have seen people who spend seven or more hours straight playing WoW and sold some of their stuff to keep playing the game. It is really sad to see and read about this.

Anyways, my fun right now is playing Uncharted 2 for the PS3. Now I do know why that game is one of the best video games of all time.

I wish I could spend a lot of hours playing video games, but I don't have a lot of stuff to sell, LOL!!!

WoW does seem somewhat on the addictive side.

I've had people who did play tell me how stressful dealing with the average addict was.

Basically, they were casual players and because they weren't in the game every single day! their clans started dumping on them. Saying they couldn't have access to loot, claiming they were a bad player because they took a day off.

And lots of those players are immature idiots anyway.

Back on topic:

I doubt it would really happen, but anything's possible.

I'm now wondering if we could see a Tomb Raider mmo.

I'm at school and it didn't work. *pout*
It was this:

My video game magazine Game Informer has that on the cover!! It looks awesome!!

It seems so odd to see her in this way. I hope the storyline is good. Should be interesting to see what they come up with next.
