I think she looks great! Looky at full body!!! This a scan from my mags article about the game.

Okay, it's not so bad now that I've seen a full body scan. I'm still not all that keen. I don't like the way that they change how she looks every game now. :/

Tomb Raider 4 is one of the oldest games of the series. I think that it's the most difficult to play. There's like a trap behind every door, some of the levels are really difficult cause you go in circles just like in a maze, some nasty enemies keep coming your way (ugh these beetles!!!) .. When you play that game, you must ALWAYS stay sharp, safe the game in every couple of minutes and don't freak out when something pops up in front of you :D I never managed to play all of the levels, I'm stuck on the one with the minotaur and I don't have the nerves to continue :D I've played Anniversary and Legend, TR 3 and 6 too,.. I think that the new ones are not that interesting, but the graphics are awesome, I give them that :)

I see what you mean, but the newer consoles are more powerful, so they have to experiment. I think she looks great for the new game.

Honestly, I'm not surprised they're monkeying around with her looks as well now.

The day she looks like that freak Angie Jolie (okay, so I'm still bitter about the films!) is the day me and my little friend (implied menace) go to have a little "discussion" with the game designers.

I think things started falling apart after Tomb Raider VI.
For whatever reason, they dropped everything they were doing and went off in a completely different direction.

Even to the extreme of rewriting Lara's past completely.

How many of you know that Tomb Raider VI was the first game in a trilogy story and the next two never got released at all?

Tomb Raider AOD is really good, little creepy, but had a future.. It would have been really cool if they made the sequels, the story of that TR part is very intriguing.
When I was playing and I was in that Paris level when you act like a ninja in the Louvre :D .. It was awesome, and the levels when you actually have to solve mysteries and just the music creeps you out.. :D It's very interesting, what would the other 2 parts be like? :))

Well, Tomb Raider VI was about this mysterious race of near Immortals (they could be killed, but it wasn't easy, you either had to cut off all their limbs and head or shatter all their bones) who used Alchemy to do a variation of genetic engineering.
In addition, their eldest members had special powers, which made fighting them even harder.
Mind you, Lara naturally saw that as a challenge, plus she had the Periapt Shards (daggers that could kill them).
Actually, the Shards could kill anything if it was evil.
And since this race weren't walking on the nice side of the fence, they were particularly vulnerable to the Shards.

I'm assuming the second part of that story would have dealt with the awakened Sleeper (he was the most powerful member of that race) and bringing him down.
Lara awakes the Sleeper at the end of the game, but what happens afterwards, we never found out.
It would be very strange to have a being that powerful wake up and then just fade away into obscurity.

The third part of the story, well, I'll don't know how that was going to be played out.

Most Tomb Raider games are on PC or PS2.

I don't know about the "Next Gen" versions, they may be PS3.

I'm a PC Raider, so don't know very much about the Playstation versions of the game.

Hopefully it's on PS3 the graphics will be amazing then. Although the little things in the corner that come up when you get an achivement can be a little anoying.

I haven't heard anything else about this in a while. I wonder when it's going to be out. Soon I hope :)

They really should stop making games that have "collecting" stuff as a feature. I don't really care. Just give me health and ammo and I'm happy. :D

I like the collectables, because to be honest most of the games that I play have them. It's all part of Action/Adventure games, I just dislike the PS3's trophy system, tis all.

Well, part of the reason why I'm miffed is this isn't how Tomb Raider normally allocates weapons.

The standard is, get to this level, okay, here's the gun, now go crazy and have fun with Lara's new toy!

This is the only Tomb Raider game I've come across which says, okay, you're not an uber leet perfecto player, so we're not giving you all the toys from the box unless you measure your score against these other players.

To be honest, one of those is so annoying, it takes half of the six minutes just to finish one of the bosses.
And there's two of them!
Not to mention, you have a maze to navigate and disarm.

How the heck can you do all that in 6 minutes?
