As most of you know, J.R.R. Tolkien, the mastermind behind The Lord of the Rings, and C.S. Lewis, the author of The Chronicles of Narnia, were great friends. As fans of both literary giants, we’re thrilled that Netflix is working on their Chronicles of Narnia series. However, while there’s a lot to cover there, we’re also diving into some Lord of the Rings content to fill in the gaps.

In particular, we’re excited to bring back Dr. Scott Masson for episode recaps after each new episode. This adds another layer of depth to our discussions and keeps the Middle-earth conversation alive and engaging.

The Rings of Power Season 2 Teaser: A Must-Watch

The teaser for season two of The Rings of Power has just dropped, and it’s worth checking out. For those who found season one’s character build-up a bit slow, I have good news. From the looks of it, season two has picked up the pace and doesn’t pull any punches. The action is ramped up, and according to the trailer below, the storyline dives deeper into the creation of all the Rings of Power, showcasing the peril and impact of these powerful artifacts.

Here’s the teaser:

What to Expect in Season 2

Season 2 promises more action and faster pacing now that the characters and their motivations are established. The trailer hints at a season filled with peril and excitement, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store. If you haven’t finished season 1, now is the perfect time to catch up.

Summary of The Rings of Power Season 2

Darkness will bind them. The Rings Of Power returns August 29 on Prime Video.

Sauron has returned. Cast out by Galadriel and without an army or ally, the rising Dark Lord must now rely on his cunning to rebuild his strength and oversee the creation of the Rings of Power. These rings will allow him to bind all the peoples of Middle-earth to his sinister will. Season 2 builds on Season 1’s epic scope and ambition, plunging even its most beloved and vulnerable characters into a rising tide of darkness. Elves and dwarves, orcs and men, wizards and Harfoots… as friendships are strained and kingdoms begin to fracture, the forces of good will struggle ever more valiantly to hold on to what matters most of all: each other.

Any chance to revisit Middle-earth is something I’m excited about. If this trailer is any indication, season two of The Rings of Power is going to be thrilling and action-packed. Let’s gear up for another epic journey in Middle-earth!

I will watch season 2, more out of curiosity to what more they will do to the world I love that Tolkien so carefully and wonderful created. I was one of the few who actually finished season 1 (only 35% of viewers actually finished). I was holding on to a little hope that Amazon would learn from the mistakes of season 1, but it now appears they have kept their heads in the sand. I really don't know how anyone who likes the The Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit an actually like Rings of Power. Going from a Masterpiece of world building and writing to the exact opposite in this serious. The only thing I can say positively about Rings of Power is they had amazing visuals. The show itself looked really good.

I really don't know how anyone who likes the The Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit can actually like Rings of Power.

Right on, Wonderings! Mister Tolkien ALREADY HAD included strong females in his narrative. But the revisionists would settle for nothing less than a Mega-Mary-Sue who EXISTED ONLY FOR THE PURPOSE of humiliating males.

Hollywood does have trouble writing strong female characters, they seem to only be able to do it by creating a male character and then casting a woman. Women and men both have their unique strengths and weaknesses. It would be great for actual strong female characters written for women.

When a show is doing it's PR work based on how diverse the cast is, and now with season 2 how it is all female directors, rather then focusing on writing something that fits into Tolkiens world and writing stories that compliment what he has so wonderfully crafted, you know it will not succeed. If anything Season 2 looks like there will be more action. I think I am safe to say though that the story will not be improved at all nor will they make any attempts to correct the garbage they put created in season 1. I will say my favourite horrors of season 1 was the Harfoots. Some of the worst writing in the show was around them. I am not a writer, don't claim to be one, but how can they not see the contradictions in these people? Have a touching song how no one is left behind, then have a character get injured and you find out if you slow down the clan you get left behind to die! It is laughable. Anyways, this is a pretty negative post, wish I could say some positive things. Would love to be proven wrong in Season 2!

Of course women who are physically able to duke it out _exist,_ as witness Gina Carano. But there will never be _enough_ real-world Amazons to make _male_ warriors unnecessary.

What will never cease to irritate me is the number of women who will _simultaneously_ claim that every random woman under age fifty chosen from a crowd is a super-goddess who can flatten men twice her size, _and_ still complain that all women are poor helpless victims of a "patriarchy" which no longer exists in the English-speaking world.
