The Slightly True Story of Cedar

"The Slightly True Story of Cedar B. Hartley (who planned to live an unusual life)" is a book I found in the library. It's about a girl in Australia named Cedar, who wished her name was Lana Monroe and has no dad. Her brother Barnaby ran away, and her mum is always stressed out. She has a dog Stinky, a friend named Kite (his dad is a circus performer), a best friend named Caramella and some cool neighbors. Her enemies are Harold Barton who sneers and is rich, and Marnie Aitkin who has snake eyes and always says "oh sure. very funny."
Here are the characters we need to start off w/, and their descriptions.

Cedar: a hopeless winker, she loves acrobatics. She has frizzy red hair and a chubby nose...not quite Lana Monroe, but it works for her. she trains w/ Kite to become a good acrobat, and she secretly likes Kite.

Kite: a quiet, introverted kid, he is always laid back. He is named Kite because his dad wants him to fly. Kite is an amazing back-walkover-er and he never gives Cedar compliments... funny, because he secretly likes Cedar.

Caramella: an italian girl who is 11, two years younger than Kite and Cedar. sort of plump, but only because her mum feeds her biscotti all the time. she is an artist of a sort, and very shy.

Oscar: a brain-damaged original boy, age 13. He hurt his head when he was on Kite's trapeze, and he loves big words. He is very nice, but has a stutter.

Barnaby: a 17 year old who has run away, but sends postcards to his mum and his sister, who he calls "Cedy Blue." the postcards just have odd sayings, like "I am a whistling duck, watching the sky and how it wonders."

i'll be cedar...since she's the hardest and I'm most likely the only one who's read the book.
