The 'WB'

At least they didn't actually greenlight the version of this film they were going to back in 1999 or so, set in modern day L.A.

I imagine it'd have had a very WB network vibe to it all, with Dawson's Creek actors as the cast.

Man, if they casted Ray "Beowulf" Winstone as Mr. Beaver.... wait! They did!

What was so wrong with Ray, he did a rather good job in my opinion.

He`s actually done a lot of good legendary, fantasy type roles, not only Beowulf but how about Will Scarlet/Scaflock in the old `Robin of Sherwood` series?

Not that he did badly, just that ray's been known to play pretty sleazy adult roles in the past, as well as the future after LWW. So when I saw him in this family-friendly film (even as a beaver) it just made me feel... wrong.

and the late John Belushi as Bacchus ( or as he should be called the aptly named "Sir Not Appearing in this Picture." )in Prince Caspian. Though he ceratinly would have looked the part and ahd the aprty animal aspect down.

There's the makings of a pretty good comedy! Of course, not for the real movie, but I'd actually watch a comedy version like that just to laugh. Especially with Ray Romano you can just imagine in his voice,

Puddleglum Romano: "Hey uh.. Hey I don't think that's a... a great idea. Shouldn't we just stay here? For now? I mean, geez it's just a cat's opinion."

Jill: "Lion."

PGR: "Whatever."

Jill: "Aslan directed us to find Prince Rilian!"

PGR: "Rilian. Right, sounds like the Simarilian. What prince?"

Jill: "Prince Rilian!"

PGR: "Who's that?"

HA!! Seriously, I'd really love to see just what Romano would do with that.

Hmm, then one might want to add Bruce Willis as Edmund, and Steven Segal as Eustace! And Clint Eastwood as Aslan. At least if you are going all "manly men of action."

actually, I could see that. Oh, adn to add another Comedy great, Robin Williams ( reprising MRs. Doubtfire) as Aunt Letty.

Dan Aykroyd as Professor Kirke ( complete with his rapid delivery).

Bill Murry as Mr. Tumnus.

and Megan Fox as well, anything in Narnia, even a rock. ( seriously she is my least favorite actress, and I'd have to say one of the most over rated and worst actresses alive who only got where she is because of her looks.)
