This book as a movie (unofficial)

I'm not sure if this topic has been posted before (newbie), but what are the odds of this book going to screen in cinemas?

I'm somewhat annoyed with the BBC series for skipping three of the seven books.

The irony of it is, they've already cast their lead actors and actresses (well, except for Shasta, Aravis, Bree and Hwin).

The book features the adult versions of the Pevensie children (I like the fact that Rachel Henley (Georgie's older sister) plays the older Lucy). Who are seen at the end of the Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe. They've already chosen Aslan and Mr Tumnus. So, half the casting work for lead roles has actually been done.

Since the book doesn't involve the younger children at all, they could shoot simultaneously with any of the other productions.

The Thread title is "This book as a movie (unofficial)" How much of a clue is that?

[mode=slow]F-o-r-u-m, not t-h-r-e-a-d[/mode], Queenie. Clue Mk 2: This is the "Horse and his Boy" forum. Bell ringing yet?

Well I normally go to new posts and read the tittle of the threads :p

Anyways, now that you've mentioned it I don't think they should make a movie. There's nothing magical about the book. Its just a Narnia History 101 for those who wondered what happened while The pevnsies were reigning as Kings and Queen of Narnia

i think its magical cause of Aslan.

theyre gonna film PC, VotDT, and SC together.-but not in the sam emovies, all seperate.

then, theyll do MN, HahB, and LB together as well.

all because of the actors-they have to use young pevensies in PC and VotDT, but eustace id introduced in VotDT, so they have to do SC after that.

Very good point. I hope they cast Bree as a Friesian draft, their my fave horses. It'd be quite a shame if they didn't do all seven movies. :( I think they outta film 'em in Chronological order from here on out but I think their doin' it by the way they were published? :D

Granted, there's not as much as the other books. But Aslan appears from time-to-time and his most notable act is punishing Rabadash.

That's kindof why I like it though. It's different from all the others.

Are Fresian drafts big horses? I think that's the only requirement for Bree. You've got to believe he's a horse that can fight battles. It's mentioned in the book that it is impossible to disguise Bree because he's so distinctive. Everyone knows he's a warhorse just from looking at him. Even when he's disguised.

I don't care if they do them in chronological order. Just as long as they do them all. But I think there is a time factor on the Pevensie ones, because children grow up fast (well, maybe not the oldest children, it depends if they've reached their physical peak yet). So, I'm okay with those going first.

Thing with Bree is, you've got to remember that although he was a warhorse he wasn't one of those monsters barely distinguishable from a shire horse - he didn't have to clank around under a quarter of a ton of plate barding carrying a knight in a full lobster-suit. Calormene warriors, like the Arabs of our world, fought in comparatively light mail on unarmoured horses; otherwise they'd have cooked in the desert sun. He should still be recognisable as a war horse by being well-muscled, having a good carriage and so on.
