Untold Hobbit stories

These are my own made untold hobbit stories. Here I am going to write short Hobbit tales :D

ELANOR AND THE LETTER:

24 september the year 61
Elanor was sad. She had tears in her eyes. her mom had recently died and her dad had to leave. She knew it was coming, because Sam told her he would leave them after his task was fullfilled, but still it was hard. Her dad gave her the red book and through her tears Elanor was reading it. She opened the book and she saw the first part was written by Bilbo Baggins; There and back again, a Hobbit tale.
Then she saw the part written by Frodo baggins. Elanor didn't know Frodo because she was too young when he left. But Sam told her a lot about Frodo. And after all two of his sons were called frodo and Bilbo. When Elanor skipped the pages till she reached the part written by her father, she saw a letter. It was a white envelop with blue letters on it: To my dearest Elanor. Elanor opened the letters and she grabbed a tissue. Her eyes were so red because of all the crying and it was still hard to believe her dad never would return home again. Then she opened the letter and started to read:
Dear Elanor,
I probably will be gone when you read this letter. I know you will be sad when you read this, but remember I had no other choice. I had to leave Middle-Earth and I knew it a long time before you were born.
You know my dearests friends like King Elessar and Queen Arwen of Gondor. You know my dearests fellow hobbits peregrin and Meriadoc. Your sister is married to Faramir Took, so of course you know them! But there is a story I never told you. I didn't want you to know till you were stong enough to hear about it. I have been happy with you for all those years but I have been sad deep inside as well. Maybe you remember me telling you about Bilbo and Frodo Baggins. I recommend you to read their stories and then continue to read this letter. can you do this for me my dear Elanor?

Elanor stopped and she went back through all the pages. She reached the first chapter written by Bilbo Baggins. At first Elanor didn't want to read it and she laid the book aside and went to the kitchen to make some dinner for her husband. Fastred entered the kitchen and kissed Elanor on her cheek. "Don't be sad my sweetheart, he said. Your dad will never forget his beloved daughter". After a while fastred helped Elanor to do the dishes and then he said: "Frodo and Bilbo want us to come to visite them to plan a family reunion". Then Elanor was sudenly shocked. "Frodo and Bilbo?" Fastred replied: "yes, your two brothers...what is it Elanor? You look like you've seen a ghost or maybe two". Fastred went to the living room and he said: "Hey, this is the book your father gave you...let me see....There are more writers in this book!" Elanor rushed to the living room and sat down beside her husband. Fastred was skipping through the pages Bilbo had written. "Whoow!!! There is a dragon mentioned...Smaugh". Elanor became curious..."Let me see". Then after a while the couple finished Bilbo's stories and started to read Frodo's tale. " If he is as good in writing as Bilbo, then this could be a very interesting book" Fastred replied. They read for hours and their mouths kept more and more silent. "If my dear Sam wasn't there with me, the orcs would have taken the ring and Sauron would have ruled forever. Don't cry Samwise, for you have no idea you just saved the world".
Elanor and Fastred kept reading this part over and over again. Then suddenly Elanor realized why her father was so quiet about his adventure. She knew the reason. Her father saved Middle-Earth but instead of behaving like a so called hero, he kept his secret in silence and he prefer to lead a imple life. Elanor felt tears in her eyes and fastred said: "Your dad was a hero. Because of him taking this ring from Frodo's neck, you and I are able to live our lifes as we do know". Elanor felt even more love for her dad and so did her husband. " I understand this Frodo. He knew your dad was more precious than anything in Hobbitton". Elanor grabbed the letter and continued reading:
My dear Elanor, I hope you can understand why I have to leave. I am sad to leave you behind but I am happy to see Frodo and Bilbo again. It was the Ring that forced me to leave. After all, I was one of the ringbearers too, even though it was briefly. I hope you understand my situation now and I want you to know I always love you,
Yours forever,
Dad

Elanor smiled and softly whispered: "I understand dad, I understand.

Thanks to the both of you!! :D I am a LOTR fan and Mary knows that by now ;) The next story is a kinda lovestory between Frodo and an unknown hobbitgirl.

FRODO AND LADY ALICIA

When Frodo was a young hobbit at the age of 16, he once was fallen in love.
It was during his time he still lived in Buckland and before Bilbo took custody of him when he met her.
She was a bright young hobbitlass with blue eyes and blondish curly hair. She was always dressed in a white dress with red roses stitched on it and she wore a red rose in her hair.
Lady Alicia was a young hobbit at the age of 15 and she wasn't from Buckland itself. She used to live in Tookburough but her parents always visited their families in Buckland. Alicia her father was friends with someone of the race of men. They met in Bree, the small town the hobbits would visite later on their quest. Because Alicia her father loved his friends there so much, he decided to name his daughter after the wife of his so beloved friend...Alicia.
Alicia and Frodo met when they both went to the brandywine river to see how the fish was swimming in large groups. Once a year the fishs would cross the river and it was a lovely side to see them all go. There Frodo his eye catched the lovely Alicia. She was hanging over the brandywine brige and she almost felt in the water. But she could hold herself tightly on the bridge. Frodo had to laugh when he saw her hanging and at first Alicia became angry: "Don't stare at me! Do something"! But later she started to laugh as well. She walked up to Frodo and asked him how he was doing. Frodo smiled and said he was just walking around to see what was going on with the fish. Frodo was a bit shy. He liked this girl and then he asked her name. "My name is Alicia, the girl said and you must be Frodo". Frodo was amazed. "How did you know that?" Alicia started to giggle. "It is written on your book silly". Frodo looked at his book he had laid aside. There it was...Frodo Baggins was written on it. Alicia started to giggle even more. "I got you, silly" she smiled. Frodo couldn't do anything different than laughing as well. Alicia grabbed Frodo by his arm and she hooked her arm with his. Together they walked over the bridge and Alicia decided to take Froo with her to her parents.
A wonderful time was coming up for the two young hobbits. They spent a lot of time together. frodo went to Tuckborough and Alicia came to visite him with her parents. A love was blooming. It was at the ame bridge Frodo first kissed Alicia. They wewre looking at the stars and Alicia said she felt so cold. Frodo wrapped his arm around her shoulders and then he looked in her eyes and he kissed her. The young couple couldn't have been more happier.
Frodo wrote down the most beautiful poems for Alicia and Alicia made the most beautiful flowerchains for him.
Their love lasted for 1 year and then Alicia had to leave. She visited frodo one day while she was in Buckland again and she looked depressed. frodo asked: "What is going on my love? You look so unhappy". Alicia had tears in her eyes. "Frodo, we must end our relationship. My parents and I are going to move and we can't see each other any longer because of that". Frodo his heart was breaking. "But why? We can still see each other. Alicia. there is no reason why we couldn't." Alicia sighed. " No frodo, it is hard to explain but we can't see each other anymore. We are never coming back here". Then Alicia laid her finger on Frodo his mouth. "No more why's anymore Frodo. remember I always love you and I just have no other choice". Then Alicia kissed Frodo one more time and she disappeared. Frodo had tears in his eyes.
All that was left were the great memories and the idea someone so sweet as Alicia would never enter his life again.

BILBO AND THE MAGIC MIRROR:

Bilbo was in his early 80's and full of energy. He loved to visite all those places he had visited when he was a young hobbit. Very often he remembered his big adventure with Gandalf and Thranduil and how often he had to smile when he thought about the hotheaded dwarves. But they had become friends forever. Bilbo was thinking about the mountains and the woods and decided to go for a long walk. He gave his gardner Hamfast Gamgee the keys to his house. Bilbo trusted him completely. Bilbo was carrying two bags on his back and he had his alking stick and enough food and he went out for a couple of days. "My dearest Hamfast, I won't be back until next week. But don't ask me when, because I go where the wind takes me and I will follow the stars as long as they are visible". Hamfast smiled. He loved Bilbo. Bilbo always had been good to him and made sure the Gamgee family never would have to miss anything important in life.

So Bilbo left and he was humming his favorite songs as he always did when he went out. He crossed the Brandywine River and walked over the bridge and then he stayed in Buckland a couple of days with his family. But after 4 days of walking, Bilbo reached the woods of Lorien.
Somehow the woods seemed familiar but Bilbo never had been there before. He walked on and then he finally found a good spot to stay the night. The stars where shining brightly and it wasn't cold at all. In the middle of the night Bilbo heard someone calling his name. "Bilbo, Bilbo!", a soft gentle voice said. Bilbo was sitting straight up and asked: "Wh-wha-wha-what???? Who is calling me?" No answer came and it was silent for a while. Bilbo wanted to sleep again but he couldn't get to sleep because the voice started to call him again. "Bilbo! Bilbo!" Then Bilbo stood up and was determined to see who as calling him. "Where is my candle? I can't see anything in the dark". But then he saw the moon was shining bright and then he realized he didn't need a candle. Bilbo walked on and then he reached an open place in the woods. But nobody was there. Bilbo saw nothing except for this giant fountain or was it something else? He slowly walked off the stairs which was laying before his feet and he walked up to this fountain or whatever it was. Then he heard his name again: "Bilbo, Bilbo!" It seemed to come from the inside of this giant thing. Bilbo walked up to the fountain and he wanted to take a look. But he was a hobbit and too small to reach the edge of his fountain so he looked around and grabbed a large stone. He climbed on this stone and now he could look over the edge. Inside there was nothing than water. Calm and gentle. But slowly it looked like the water was becoming less calm and a storm was coming up. Bilbo had to hold himself because this sudden storm was getting heavier and heavier. And then he heared the voice again but now this once so gentle voice sounded like the sound of thunder in the sky: "Bilbo! Bilbo!" Bilbo looked up to the sky and shouted: "Who is calling my name?" Bilbo didn't get a reply back but he felt the pressure to look into the water again. The water now looked like a mirror. He first saw his own face but then he saw a change in the water or was it really a mirror? He saw a young hobbit. "This boy looks like Hamfast, Bilbo said. But then much younger". And then he saw another young hobbit appear. One with dark curly hair and Bilbo thought it was his young relative Primula. "Nah, that's impossible! Primula doesn't have any children yet. What is this? Why am I brought here?" Bilbo looked again into the Mirror because something forced him to look and then the storm became worse and the mirror turned dark. Suddenly Bilbo saw the most aweful creature he had ever seen. He saw a giant man. Taller than most men on the earth and he was completely dressed in black. On his head was a dark thing. It looked like a kinda crown but then an aweful crown. The dark figure made Bilbo shiver. Bilbo started to feel scared inside and wanted the mirror to stop. The storm became heavier and heavier and Bilbo almost felt like he would be blown away by the wind. He grabbed the edges of the Fountain tighter and then he saw a mountain and fire. It looked like an eye. Bilbo Screamed: "No! This can't be possible! Let me go! I don't want to see this!" Then suddenly the dark man turned around and seemed to look at Bilbo. His dark hand was covered by an iron glove and he reached his hand out to grab Bilbo. Bilbo was in shock and he felt backward while screaming out loud.
Bilbo felt on the ground and lost his conciousness. When he woke up a while later, he realized he was laying in his bed at home in Hobbitton. "How is this possible? He thought. I was on a journey. How is it possible to be back at home?' Then Hamfast opened the door an had made breakfast. "How do you feel Bilbo? Are you feeling better now?" Bilbo looked at his gardner. "What happened? I was away for a while." Hamfast replied: "They have found you on the road. There was a huge thunderstorm and the Bulgers were looking for you because it was way too dangerous to stay out in the open. Thank God they found you! You were wed and you were screaming". Bilbo was surprised and he thought to himself: "Then it was just a dream...it was just a dream!" His Gardner left to make Bilbo some more tea. bilbo laid back in his bed and wanted to get some sleep. Suddenly Hamfast came running inside with a letter in his hands. "Bilbo! A letter from your family! It said: URGENT". Bilbo opened the letter. "It's from Drogo! He is the Grandson of my great uncle Largo Baggins! Oh boy...what can it be?" Bilbo read and then he started to laugh and scream. "They have a baby boy! Frodo Baggins is born last night. I didn't know Primula was pregnant". Bilbo was happy and he quickly stood up and dressed himself to visite his newly born cousin. "hamfast, I am going to visite my cousin immidiatly". Bilbo smiled. "You are right Mister Bilbo, hamfast smiled and give the newborn Baggins our kindest wishes". After a few days of travel, Bilbo reached Buckland and there he saw his cousin for the very first time. "You look so much like your mother. The same dark hair although it still has to grow a bit". Bilbo held Frodo in his arms and he walked outside with the babyhobbit. Then he went to the small river nearby. And in a reflection Bilbo heard the wind call his name: "Bilbo, Bilbo!" Bilbo knew he heard this voice before but now it sounded more peaceful. And when Bilbo looked in the water, it looked like he saw a young boy standing there...his hair was dark and curly and he looked a lot like Primula.

A dark tale:
It was so many years after the final battle of Midle-Earth. Sauron was gone for so many years and Frodo and Bilbo both went to the Grey Havens. A lonely figure was sitting on the back of is pony. He wore a black cloak and his blue shirt was covered with a pattern of white blocks. Or at least it looked like blocks. His curly hair was grey which indicated he must be somewhere in his 60's or 70's. But he was a Hobbit and Hobbits always had the habit to look so much younger than they actually were. This was not a Hobbit on his way back home, no, this was a hobbit with a mission. He entered the beautiful Grey Havens and he stepped off his pony. The Elf was waiting for him. It was Cirdan, the Lord of the Grey Havens. "It is time for you to leave my dear Samwise,he said. The time has finally come when you can start your healing process as well. Although you have brought many joy to the lifes of those who lived around and with you. Come on board my sweet friend and leave the troubles and worries of your life behind you forever". Sam gave Cirdan his hand when the Elf helped him on board of the ship. Sam remembered when Frodo and Bilbo left and he always felt a deep sympathy for Cirdan. Sam walked on board of the ship and the feeling he felt deep inside when the ship started to sail away was something he never felt before. Sam looked around and he saw the land of Middle-earth fading behind him. There was no way back for him now. He could never return home again. But Sam was not sad. He lived his life fully and his children where grown up and they didn't need him no longer to guide them. They all had found their own way and they all seemed to have succeeded in each way. Sam was tired. he felt so tired deep inside. It was like he could feel the power of the ring working as it did never before. But that was impossible. The ring was destroyed. Sam looked down into the water and he saw nothing than waves. Small waves and some larger and it was like Sam could hear a voice in his head. "The ring is destroyed but what you feel now is the burden you carried with you because you have been a ringbearer too. It was short but long enough to leave its burden upon you". Sam thought about how heavy this burden should have been for Frodo all those time. Suddenly Sam heard a voice: "Sam! Try to lay down for a while! We are having some very bad wheater coming upon us!" One of the Elfs who sailed with him shouted. Sam immidiatly throw himself on the floor and he saw a hgiant thundercloud above the boat. It was so far away but it looked like it was only above their heads.
Then it started to rain. A very heavy rain and Sam was afraid the boat would sink. But elvish boats were unsinkable. Then Sam saw the cloud somehow changed...it looked like a pattern was coming through. A face........Sam looked at the face and somehow it looked familiar. The thuinderstorm went away and the elfs were busy with their boat to get their boat in the right direction. Sam looked one more time at the cloud and then a feeling of terror came upon him. In the cloud the face was now very clear............The Witch-King of Angmar. "T-t-that's impossible!!! Sam shouted. You were destroyed! You were destroyed!" Then a very evil laugh was filling the air. The sound of this aweful and evil laugh was so loud the thunder was not even heard anymore. Sam screamed: "NO!!" Then he felt an arm on his shoulder. "Sam? Are you alright? You had a very nasty dream. Come on my friend, we are almost there. Look how beautiful the green lands are". Sam stood up and he thought it as all a dream. "I dreamed we were having a bad thunderstorm". "Yes, the elf replied. We did have a bad one but you collapsed and felt to the ground when the thunder started".
Sam didn't know what to say. Was it a dream or was it real?

ooh! exciting nessa! and yet the fourth age is still plauged with the terrible memories (or perhaps not just memories). poor sam!

Pippin and the apple:
In the time when Pippin was just a young boy at the age of 24 (remember, hobbits were official adults at the age of 33) he was often hold back by his father Paladin. It was Autumn and Pippin wanted to go outside and to steal some apples from Farmer Maggot his trees. Of course his parents would never allow this. How often did farmer Maggot not shout at their son and threatened to lock him up in the cellar or tie him at the highest branch of the tree? But Pippin was determined to taste some of Farmer Maggot his wonderful apples. So Pippin couldn't hold himself and while his parents were talking with their fellow hobbits in their garden, Pippin climbed out of the window. Not from his bedroom side. Of course not! Pippin knew his parents would notice him. He climbed from the windows of his parents room. Sneaky Peregrin climbed down after he tied a rope very steady on the stairs in the hallway. Without a noise he managed to reach the ground. He had done this so often so his parents should have known what their son was doing. Pippin quickly rushed away from his house and walked into the woods. He was on his way to the oh so well-known road to farmer maggot when he suddenly saw an apple laying on the floor. Pippin grabbed it an looked at it. The apple was very dark red with some green mixtures. Pippin looked closer and softly said: "What a beauty!! I am sure you must taste delicious. I am going to save you for later when I am going home again". Pippin saw the fence around the fields of Farmer Maggot and he did his usual ritual. He climbed in the fence and just when he was trying to climb over it, he saw a tree, a giant tree. Pippin was certain he never had seen this tree before and if it was planted by the farmer it had grown incredibly fast. And the farmer was way too small to plant such big tree by his own. Pippin decided to take a closer look at the tree and he climbed up. When he reached the top, it was like everything around him was so small. Then Pippin saw more apples like the one he found. Pippin couldn't resist it and he took an apple and bite it. Then Pippin felt his head became lighter and lighter and then he felt down. He wanted to scream but he couldn't. Pippin didn't feel any pain when he hit the ground. Instead he sat up and looked around. Just like he had fallen asleep.
Then he saw the farm was gone and so did the tree. Pippin started to panic when he jumped up and saw nothing. Like he was in the middle of nowhere. Pippin wanted to walk away and he was completely desorientated. Then he heard a noise. Or more the sound of a horse. Pippin started to panic again. maybe an army of men was nearby. They should better not see him! A lonely hobbit far away from home. But Pip was so certain he was nearby. It was this Tree he climbed at. And now he was nowhere. A cloud of dust came upon Pippin and he as very afraid. The sound of the horse coming near was so close. Pippin wanted to run away when he suddenly saw a light. Pippin looked and he saw a figure walking towards him. It was a beautiful creature. When he looked again, he saw it was a male. A long tall male with very long golden hair. He wore a long robe with the most beautiful color of darkish blue he had ever seen. "Don't be afraid Peregrin Took. I was sent to help you", the male said. "Pippin asked: "Who are you? Where am I? Where is my home?". The male walked towards him and he kneeled down besides Pippin. He grabbed the hand of the small young hobbit. "My name is Glorfindel. I was sent to you by master Elrond of Rivendell. You are fallen from a tree and you are badly injured. Elrond sent me to heal you." Pippin looked into the big blue eyes of the very friendly face. "What are you? He asked while Glorfindel laid his hand upon Pippin's head and put something on it. Are you one of those men who alays fight?' Glorfindel started to laugh. "No, I am not one of the race of men. I'm an elf. Now my dear hobbit. You are lucky. Your wound is healed and nobody will ever know you felt out of the tree. Go back home now my friend and don't you ever do this again. The next time you might not be so lucky". Pippin looked at Glorfindel who started to fade before his eyes. "Bu-but what happened to me and how did you know I was wounded?" Glorfindel smiled one more time and for he disappeared he said: "Feel your pockets, when you found this one, you opened the door to something you will never see". Pippin felt in his pockets and felt the apple. He looked at the apple for a few seconds. Did this apple really brought him into another world or dimension or whatever? Pippin was confused and returned home. He saw the rope hanging out of the window. He climbed back in it and returned to his own room. His parents didn't noticed he was gone away.
