Username Changes

As we try to explain in the General FAQ thread (look way at the bottom under Item #16), we're trying to discourage random user name changes "just for fun". You'll notice there haven't been that many recently, and those that have happened have usually been to prior names the member had. This is to make it easier to moderate the forum. So, unless you've got a good reason, please don't ask for a user name change.

You should send a request to the Courthouse and ask if they will change the law on TDL I guess PotW will have a busy time with changing the names every hour

They are. You can call yourself anything you like.

It's just that here on the forum, we want the computer to call you by a reasonably consistent name.

It's decided on a case-by-case basis, but a switch back to an older username is more likely to be approved than an arbitrary shift to a new name.

Personally, I've been thinking of reverting to my earlier username ("Bigfoot"), but haven't made up my mind yet.
