*wasn't sure if there's another thread like this since I've never seen it but if there is, feel free to move\delete.*

Well, if any of you watch Hallmark or USA you should be somewhat familiar with this show. It's kinda weird at times but usually it's pretty good. Chuck Norris always wins. :D

Show synopsis below: *from imdb.com*
Texas Ranger Cordell Walker, one of the last old-fashioned heroes of the West, is a protective friend but a relentless foe who will stop at nothing to bring a criminal to justice. Walker works on instinct, often drawing on the traditions of his Native American ancestors. His partner, James Trivette, has a more modern approach to crime-solving. C.D. Parker, a retired Ranger, and Alex Cahill, the county assistant district attorney who shares a mutual attraction with Walker, support the Rangers in their battle to serve justice in the State of Texas.

and of course, the place this was filmed most of the time was the great state of Texas. I've even been by the courthouse featured in nearly every episode. :D

What I've said elsewhere can stand to be said another time, in respect to Mr. Norris.

"Walker" was in production at the same time, on the same network, as "Touched By An Angel." The "Angel" series, written by _supposed_ Christians, held an _ironclad_ policy of _never_ mentioning Jesus Christ by name, not even in settings where it would be natural to mention Him....you know, like _church?_ But in the same period, once he had rededicated his life, Mr. Norris _openly_ honored the Lord Jesus BY NAME in multiple episodes of "Walker."

This proved that the "Angel" writers _could_ have paid honor to Jesus also, even on secular commercial television. The reason why they didn't, was because THEY DID NOT WANT TO.

_Both_ of my dear departed wives, by the way, enjoyed watching "Walker" with me.

I did not know that! I never liked Touched by that was becuase it's even worse than Walker, I think. :o It was a bit too secular IMO.

Except that Norris cursed God's name several times. I don't know if he ever stopped it during the show but he said some words that were less-than-favorable to his Christian testimony. but that may have changed later on, I don't know.

That's why I said I figured he stopped cursing afterwards. Because I don't think his language was near what it was earlier in the show....

Did anybody think that Children of Halloween was probably the worst episode made of WTR? *shudders* that one is so creepy. I can't watch it even now.

They don't re-run it on Hallmark that I know of. I think maybe because of the content but if you ever watch it on USA I think they show it. It's just downright creepy.

A Satanic symbol found at the crime scenes suggests abducted children are going to be sacrificed on Halloween.

^from tv.com

It was creepy. It was centered on witchcraft and satan worship, and I can't stand Halloween *any aspect of it!* and this episode just re-inforced it. Now I won't watch it.

oh wow. thats a bit intense.

I loved Conan O'Brien's "Walker, Texas Ranger" lever. that 'allowed' him to show random clips of the show. Taken out of context, some of them are strange.

MrBob

In one movie a powerful servant of the Devil attacked the world. He was called Prosatanus or something.
Chuck Norris crushed him. Obviously the evil one never heard about the roundhouse kick:D:D:D

I'm not afraid of the boogeyman anymore
