What bit of PC are you looking forward to the most?

I'm looking forward to seeing what Aslan's How will look like! I hope Walden gets it right. I am also excited about the battle scene, especially the fight between Miraz and Peter! That will (hopefully) be so exciting!

About the whole Peter fighting Caspian...doesn't that sound a lot like in VOTDT when Edmund and Caspian start fighting? I don't know, maybe that's just me, but I am also NOT looking forward to Peter and Caspian fighting.

I know we've had tons of spoilers, but from the book, what parts do you want to see in the film the most? What in it would "make the film" for you?
How about you? What do you want to see?
When Caspian is found by Trufflehunter, and the others.I always loved that part when he discovers "old Narnia" isn't dead, after all.:)

Welcome, Gentle & Valiant Queen, I did not see you post before. In VDT when Ed and Caspian fight, it is on Deathwater Island, and they are fighting over treasure -- they realize it is the island itself making them act that way, and when the spell is broken, as it were, they apologize for acting stupidly ... I think that was a teaching moment about the importance of friendship and not letting material things divide you.

I think the power struggle in the PC movie is just ignorant. If Peter were to stoop to trying to wrest power from Caspian, he would not be acting very nobly; in fact in the book he assures Caspian he has come to put him on the throne, not take it from him. And if Caspian were to oppose Peter as the "High King" of Narnia, it would show he had learned nothing from the old tales and was not actually fit to be king.

It's totally different from the short scene in VDT, I think. We will have to wait for the movie to tell how badly it injures the story.

I personally want to see the faith journey of the kids and have them come to be able to see Aslan one at a time...and see Lucy and Aslan's discussion in the night in the woods. When he calls her to step out in faith and follow him regardless of what everyone else chooses to do. That's what I want to see the most I think. There are a lot of parts I love, but that's the bit I look forward to the most. I just hope they do well with that bit in the film.

How about you? What do you want to see?

I want to see if they keep the girls' journey with Aslan (with Bacchus and Silenus) the same.

I am looking forward to the end when peter a miraz have juel

You mean a duel?

I heard that the fight was going to be much longer than the fight with the White Witch in LWW. It ought to be interesting, but they changed things around so that it's not in a square with the martials of the lists on the four corners per se...they are having it in a more open area by what is supposedly an old ruined temple. They might still have the martial of the lists there, but I'm not sure in what capacity. I know the Bears are in and sucking their paws, but I don't know about that particular scene. I wish they'd stick to the books, but it should be interesting nonetheless.

Maybe they made a mistake and they are fighting each other not knowing who the other are? I don't know. U know in a movie script they change everything!

Anyway, I want to see when Aslan tells Peter and Susan they can't come back to Narnia, as painful as that is. I probably will cry.:(

Your probably right.:) I want to see that part too, I WANT to cry for that! I also can't WAIT to see Reep!!!! and I really hope they keep Lucy's best line in, where she says the thingy about girls having something inside their heads:p Can't wait to see the Peter/Miraz fight, it's gonna be amazing!

btw, How are you? :)

I think i;d just like to cry through the entire movie:) I did practically during LWW too. I just cant wait fo the film.

SusanTheGentleHornblower- love your banner, beautiful!!:)

The part where the Pevensies get back and see the ruined castle. I`m looking forward to that. ;) And I wanna see how does Susan and Lucy meet Caspian, when they`re not supposed to! And also the War of Deliverance of course. PRACTICALLY THE ENTIRE THING!!! :D There. I said it. :D

I know how you feel -- can't wait to see the entire film, and it is not that far away: only May, what is that seven months? Did I say I am looking forward to the meeting between Aslan and Trumpkin? I think that is going to be cool.

That's the part I'm not looking forward to..well, one of them anyway. It wasn't in the book and is the opposite of what IS in the book. It strips Peter of a great deal of his noble and honorable character which are part of what made him Peter the Magnificent. They've made him too modern without the wisdom and chivalry in the books which are characteristics that are part of what make the stories special. Now he's just Peter...King in name, not in action. It makes Caspian the less as well. It seems he will be completely unrecognizable from the Caspian in the books, but I don't think Disney and Walden care like most of us do. Tis sad really.

The duel with Miraz will be an interesting scene I think. It will be much longer than the duel Peter had with the White Witch.

I'd love both duels, of course, if they are made well and are not stupid. I know that you people are very passionate about the books and I love that. Of all fantasy fans I know in the web, Narnia fans are the best, the coolest. I guess that it is because most of them are believers. Or maybe it is because Narnia is such a lovely story.
Yet... I want to state that I don't want to insult anyone and I am sorry if I do. But the books are quite old, even if classics and the public from the 50's if different than modern one. From what I see they made Peter and Caspian a bit more emotional, more passionate - this is how modern public prefers it. They made the duels longer and more dramatic - it is what fans want and love - I mean average fans, not book lovers. It happened in LWW, with the battle. It happened with "The Lord of the Rings", and with "The Seeker: The Dark is Rising". Even modern books, like "Harry Potter" and "Eragon" had changes between books and movies. It is inevitable. Books and movies are different breeds. When you read a book, it has to be atmospheric, you need to feel while you read it. In a movie, it needs to be glorious and exciting. So there are changes. In the end, there is no harm done - many people who watched the movie will read the books. The ones who do not, well, they wouldn't have bothered anyway. Try to see the fantasies as modern myths and legends - this is what they are. It is normal to have different versions of one myth. Every storyteller adds something and changes other things. View the movie makers as storytellers - they are.
The changes are normal. They do not affect the books. Books are books, movies are movies.

I like that, Sparhawk. Although I am a little disappointed with all the changes being made, I agree that they are inevitable. I'm going to go to the movies and enjoy them, because I think Walden-Media is doing a good job in making it exciting and affective. I loved the special effects and music in LWW, and I think they will do even better in CAspian. As you said, they are great storytellers. And in the end, for me the books will have the final say about what Narnia is like.

My favorite part in Caspian is Lucy's meeting in the woods with Aslan. I hope that they will do a good job with that. Of course, seeing Reepicheep in all his glory.

I wonder how they are portraying the relationship between Caspian and his nurse, if at all. I'd like to see that. I know that in the movie, he's too old to have a nurse, but if I were doing the movie....I dunno, maybe I'd have him talk about how he misses her and her stories and how he is frustrated that she was sent away.
