What happened to the "writin' club"?

Ahhh, yes, lack of fan fics. I will take the moment right now to apologize to all my loyal readers of my cross over fan-fic "When World's Collide" as that was oen fo teh stories that vanished. a Number of things happened, mainly my parents loosing their jobs, me working retail and getting caught in the holiday rush, and becoming more preoccupied with my own fantasy world for a novel series, and ahving to reade and reread all the books that I borrowed characters from so I could get them all "right." I'll get back to it again as soon as I can!

MagicalHobo, dude to be honest, you've only been registered (at least what your thing says) for a couple months. So how can you have been gone for a couple months?? I don't think you've hade enough time with TDL to have experienced the full flux of story writing. :o

No he has been much longer on here. His original name is Dwarven_Crusader77 but he lost his password and couldn't log on anymore.
And yes I understand some points. ES is right. It is frustrating to see you get so less replies after hard work while others reply like 20 times a day on a CT fanfic.

I'm tired of CT fanfic as well. They're all the same:

"AAAAH! I MET THE BAND AND THEY ARE MY BFF AND I SANG WITH THEM AAAAAA!"

You can say you don't like them.
You can say there are to many.
But please do not mock them.
That is what some people like to write. That is all some people can write. So please, just because you are an amazing author, don't mock things that you think aren't very good.

I come from a different fandom. Years ago, I was in the Lion King fandom (and more recently, the Doctor Who Fandom.)

When there aren't movies, or aren't TV Shows active.. you'll find there are far less people contributing to the creative sides of things. People tend to write when their minds are stimulated, and the power of late in stimulating minds is the TV and movie theater.

Thus, what you see in there now is simply what is stimulating the minds the most.

As for myself, I am interested in writing, but I don't know if I can write "good" Narnia fic.

It is , as was discussed in another thread, almost a holy and untouchable work. It's as close to gospel writing as I've ever seen, so I tend to approach it with kid gloves.

I HAVE written some things in the realm of Narnia, as best I can.. but I want to make certain I know what I'm doing when I do it.

I might just call my stuff "alternate-Narnia" , as another world Aslan created, to make things safer.

Cool down Kitty dear :D Once I was extremely obsessed with LOTR but through the years my obsession reached a normal level. I still love it but it isn't on the foreground anymore. Instead it runs steady on the background :D And I'm also a hockey addict and Eric Lindros obsessed. I personally don't mind people writing about CT. As long as the ones who write incredible stories like John does won't be forgotten

BUt you really don't get it. CT is ALL I care about right now! If that gets taken away from me I really couldn't stand that.

NO! It is NOT going to be taken away from you Kitty. Because some people don't like it won't say YOU should stop liking it or not write about it anymore.
But I equally enjoy reading other stories and if those stories are getting criticized then I get mad and frustrated and that does NOT make me happy.

The stories themselves are not criticized sweetie. The amount of CT fanfics have been criticized. But you don't have to take this all personal! I mean how many HP fanfics didn't appear or Twilight? They have been criticized as well but people continued
