I know this title is a bit unwieldy, but if you are a student, what is --or perhaps will be-- your major in college? If you are graduated, what was your major?

I ended up as an English/linguistics major (though I had a music scholarship to start with) as an undergrad. Then I got a masters in applied linguistics (teaching English to speakers of other languages), and then another in biblical studies.

I'm hoping to major in business (minor in some sort of design) and become a Realtor through my business degree. My mom acted like I'd be able to do that, and if I did, and didn't like Realting, I could still use the business degree for something else. I'm not sure if this is true, but I'd also like to move to NC or SC because 1) I love the beach and 2) it seems like the Realting market would be really good down there.

I graduated from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, in July 1989 with an Honours Degree in Classical Studies. However, the regulations of the University of Wales stipulate that all undergraduates must study three subjects in their first year, at the end of which they choose the subject(s) which they major in. My three subjects were History, Welsh History and Classical Studies.

Welsh studies! Sweet! My heritage, though quite mixed by now, traces itself back to Wales - I'd love to learn more about it.

My majors (lo, these many years ago) were Computer Science and Management.

I was interested in majoring in creative writing, but I figured I'd never get a job. So I thought about majoring in English Ed., but then I realized I would hate teaching grammar. I am currently majoring in History Ed. Unfortunately, I realized last spring that I hate the educational system...so now I'm looking at a master's in something else. Probably library science.

wow, all y'all are so smart! i am very proud of our educated forum. :)

i had a double major in psychology and english and minors is speech and writing. it qualified me for nothing! but i was lucky to find the job which i still have now, all those years ago.

I'm majoring in English and Secondary Education with a minor in Creative Writing.

I am only in 9th grade, but I already have ideas(even though I don't know what collages I want to go to). I would like to major in History. Or some Environmental Science. OR Technical Theater. If I majored in History, I would go in the Navy or teaching. If I majored in Environmental Science I would be a National Park Ranger. I'm in a Technical Theater program at my school, so that is always a possibility.

I know, I have tons of ideas.

Very interesting :) I think it's good to have allot of ideas, so as you grow, you'll have a couple of ideas to choose from

I agree with Patrick! Having a lot of interests helps you be more well rounded, and in God's hands no experience (or interest) is ever wasted.

I WANT to major in writing and minor in vetrinary medicine (I want to be a vet tech). However, since I don't think there are many colleges that will let me do that its probably going to either be reversed, or I have considered taking the writing part online and just going to college to be a vet tech. We'll see though. My career intrests have changed very few times, but when they do they change drastically. I know I'm supposed to be a writer though.

I'm double majoring in psychology and philosophy. I'll probably have to go to graduate school for my psychology because of the job market. However, I would rather go to graduate school for philosophy. Either way I really want to end up as a professor at a university.

I majored in Animal Behaviorology (Ethology) and Organismal Biology. Currently I am writing my Doctoral Thesis in Commissioner Science (Youth Service) and will be scheduled to add "Doctor" to my name at the end of October, 2013. About time...I'm 53.

Degree in Music Education, 1975. Certified piano tuner 1976. Diploma in Medical Assisting 2010. Certification in CDL 2011. So now I drive a school bus, and I like that perhaps the best of all, besides of course raising three kids. I use all my education to hold up my end of a conversation with my Badger. Thanks to him I have a doctorate in bad puns... <3

We all need doctorates in bad puns, but unfortunately not all of us have the good fortune to be under the aegis of the Badger.

I'm still studying two of my passions literature and writing. Once I get my degree in that I want to explore other interests of mine through school like Zoology, Marine Biology, theater, acting, art, music etc...
