What is/was/will be (maybe) your major in college?

Library Science is the ultimate goal, though to qualify for the Master's program I have to have a Bachelor's in something entirely different (because being competent as a part time librarian means nothing to them). I'm thinking for my bachelor's I'd go with History (eyeing medieval) or world Lit.

The research aspect of a history major is good, from what I've heard from librarians, if you want to get your master's in library science. My history ed. major helped me some with researching, but probably not as much as a straight history major would have.

I have many engineering friends, and be ready for a whole lot of school work and no life if you want to go that route. Ultimately rewarding though, if it's what you like.

I'm History and Greek. Yes, Greek, not classical languages/studies. I know not a word of Latin, sadly.

I've heard! I've been toying with Medieval history as a major but at this point I'm just working to get past this blasted math course and my psychology finals. If those go south I might as well take my money and put it in the preverbal hand basket.

That sounds like a cool major. I've been studying literature and writing for awhile, and I still love it. I just feel like there are other fields of interest I want to pursue.

Lit is good, though I could care less if Hedda Gabler started throwing knives while playing the polka on her piano ,while singing the 'Oswald the Rabbit' theme.

The over analyization of every work we read is becoming to much for me. I want to read the stories just for reading them, and not having to go over what certain things could mean.

Oh. This thread. Darn, it applies to me.

I'm an "Interactive Media" major and a Music minor.

Interactive Media is a combination of graphic design, art and communications. Personally I prefer the art part of it.

Sounds like you are having a lot of fun in college, Gondorgirl, in spite of your just having eaten me and in spite of your avvy having just been noticed by EveningStar.

I'm still trying to decide if college is right for me now that high school is behind me. I have the feeling I probably won't go but I guess if I did I'd probably pick Photography. I love taking pictures...especially of my photogenic puppy :p
