I have to admit that I love movies, and anytime I see a movie I really love, I usually get it on DVD. Over the past few years, I've ended up collecting a lot of them.

So I'm curious. What kind of DVDs are in your collection? You can even list them if you want. :D

Chronicles of Narnia; LOTR, regular and extended; Star Wars original trilogy; Superman Returns; X-Men trilogy; Fantastic Four 1&2; Sunset Blvd; Casablanca; Stalag 17; Sabrina, old version; I Love Lucy, all seasons; Andy Griffith show, all seasons; a bunch of others. In all there is about 200-300 DVDs in my collection. About 60% of them are from the time period 1930-1960.

I see what you mean Elindil...but my library has a terrible selection and their dvd's are in bad shape (scratches, smears...I am fastidious about my dvd's and cd's). So if we find a movie we really like we go ahead and buy it...and they're good for when there's nothing else to do :D

DVDs make up about half of what I watch on TV. Blame the dearth of fresh, clean and educational fare in modern cable land. For this reason I have a DVD cabinet as big as an armoire with enough classic TV episodes, movies, cartoons and documentaries to literally broadcast "Badger TV" 12 hours a day, 7 days a week for several months.

None of it is shameful material that I'd hesitate to show even the youngest members of this forum.

If you are fan of old shows like The Jack Benny Show or The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, you'd love to warm a spot on my couch.
