Magician's Nephew first for me.
No special reason, but when I bought the books-
I got them in a bundle (the color collectors edition).
So I just thought reading it in order would fit the situation best.

i have the collector's edition, too! but i started reading tlww first

I started with TLTWATW, but thats cos that was the book that I had read to me in class when I was like 7!!!!!!!

I read them in the order they were written. I never understand why people want to read them in chronological order anyway, or why they're boxed that way in sets. When I read them to my kids recently, we started with LWW and when we read TMN, they were all so enchanted by where the lamppost came from. It wouldn't have had the same effect if we'd read that one first.
