I still have five books to read. I am such a slow reader out of The Magicians Nephew and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe i like the latter best. I'll be voting once i read them all.
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader... Unforgetable memories... It inspired me so much... I even wrote a poem that makes me feel all those feelings that I felt back then.
Those images... The waterfall... the sea... sweet the water was...
Oh yes, no doubt. Years might have passed, but the Voyage lies in my heart, bitter sweet its taste...
I gotta say TLTWTW as my personal favourite. I tend to remember the BBC series more than the books, being so hooked on that show. Close second comes Voyage definitely.
I voted The Horse and His Boy, but I'm not sure why ... I guess because it's the only one where the main characters aren't from our world, so that makes it different and more interesting. And it's about horses!!! Dawn Treader used to be my favorite, but only because I had a crush on Caspian I would definitely say that Last Battle is the deepest, though. I had to read the ending several times to understand it, but I still don't :huh:
I voted for the Magician's Nephew. First I ever read in the series, and always the favorite-- I even made this really cool shirt to wear to the LOTR movie that said "Sure, you know about the One Ring to rule Middle Earth, but do you know about the two rings that can get you there?" It's also pretty strange that I have a great uncle and a great aunt named Frank and Helen.
I voted silver chair, then changed my mind, sorry.
I'd have to say the Magicians Nephew. I love how it starts off the entire series. I kidna like Uncle Andrew, crazy man that he is. But then again, everyone thought Einstein was crazy too See, Polly and Diggory assumed he was mad, but he did indeed do something wonderful, opened their eyes to Narnia. I just think the books amazing, I love how the witch goes into Polly and Diggoiry's world and takes charge right away. Uncle Andrews like her slave right again, although I'm sure it was because he was terrified. I love it!!
I'd have to say the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe mainly b/c it's what started it all and I always secretly wished that there was a closet in my house that would bring me to a brand new world, trust me it was a sad dissappointment when I realized that I didn't have any cool closets like that.
I love them all but despite reading Lion/Witch/Wardrobe every Christmas, my favourite is The Magician's Nephew. I read it when I was a very young girl and in our house we had an attic that went right round the house. I used to go in and look for a door into other houses, wondering if I would find Uncle Andrew or the two rings. Silly! It was the first one I read which may be why I choose it as my favourite too.
And yes I did walk into wardrobes for many years after reading Lion et al hoping to find the lampost in the snow and Mr Tumnus!
All the way!!! It is the most profound and the deepest of the whole series. It is also amazingly allegorical, especially towards the end. There is just something about it that makes me feel light and happy (only towards the end though).
Other than TLB, I'd have to pick TMN, TLTWTW, TVOTDT, PC, THAHB, TSC.
LWW = The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
PC = Prince Caspian
VDT = The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
SC = The Silver Chair
HHB = The Horse and His Boy
MN = The Magician's Nephew
LB = The Last Battle
As for me, I'll be deciding soon. I've read all but the last 50 pages of LB so far.
I love all of them so much that I really cannot descide. For me, all the books are my favorite. Unfortunately, I can't see what other people have voted until I vote myself. I don't know who's brilliant idea that was. <_< Guess I'll never know.
