Speaking of foxes though,I have a whole family of foxes in my backyard. A mom,dad and 3 babies. BUT we have to shoot them or deter them or something because they're gonna eat our chickens and ducks. The mom already got our prize duck.
And yes. Healthy adult Cats can actually hold their own against foxes.
But since I AM a cat expert,let me say something:
COMPROMISE. CHEETAH.
Cheetah's a big cats which can be domesticated that also have many features of a dog. I.E. their loyalty,body and paws.

Lol don't worry. I've seen some PRETTY nasty internet fights. This is the equivalent of a toddler's water gun fight compared to the insults being flung where I've been...

But speaking of cats: there's only ONE cat in the whole world who could make cat hater say otherwise. My gramma's cat tux. He was the biggest fattest sweetest laziest cat ever who you could drag around all day and wouldn't mind. He used to sleep in the cassette tape basket when I was little

I have no idea where the last discussion point was, but can I say...cats are far worse at veterinary clinics than dogs, any day? Except for small breed dogs, who seem to have an issue with you even looking at them wrong. You can just touch them and they yelp. And they bite. And snarl. And require muzzles.
I love cats, but not handling them. They have 3 danger zones: mouth, front limbs, hind limbs. 4 sets of claws burrowing into your skin=bloody arms and potentially face. And they squirm. Like the Dickens. Can't hold onto them if they don't want you to, and good luck putting them in a carrier without getting shredded.
With the exception of small breed dogs, dogs are the kinds of small animals I'd rather handle on a daily basis than cats. Have you ever tried to draw blood out of a cat that is in a bad mood? I dont' recommend it if you value your life.
