Who's playing Narnia and what do you think?

Well i just got it today aswell, but it's one of my Chrismas gifts, so i'll have to get back to you on that one. :D
Welcome Narnianerd208, have you seen the preview for the game? Ive watched it a few times, and it looks like a great game, i cant wait to lay it!
How far are you, can you give me some tips so i get a feeling on how the game goes?

What did you get it for? Like PS2, PS, Gamecube, what system?
I think i will want to play Peter the most, but of course i will try all the charectars aswell.:).

I am playing on PS2. There is a lot of punching and fighting off wolves but you get coins and special powers for doing it. Every level is a little different. But it follows the sequence of the book pretty well. There is a lot of footage from the new movie so I have a pretty good idea of how the movie is as well. Peter is the most powerful charachter as far as beating off wolves. But Susan and her bow and arrow do a great job fighting enemies. Edmund isn't very useful so far. Lucy gets the healing ability and can heal everyone. It's a team effort. I'm about 20% of the way through the game. I think I'll have to go back through each level as I gain more powers to complete each one. For now I'm trying to get through and gain coins and special powers.

The Game

I just got the game on Friday...and...

I'm stuck on the white witch level at the end of the game. I can't figure out how to beat it. I've got past two stages...one where cyclops attack and one where the children attack...I won't ruin the game for anyone. It is awesome, and you get nice live movie clips as you play the game...that alone is worth a lot!! The movie is going to be awesome. Lucy really does shine and so does the white witch as far as acting goes. I think Aslan is really convincing, but I do wish Liam Neeson would have put a little bit more of a 'roar' or 'growl' in his voice when he speaks. Oh well...

The game can get intense to....but it's great!

Ohhhh yes....

you DO get to fight the white witch. I installed the game and that place where the game froze on me the first time didn't happen the second time--but I had to play through the whole game to get back to that point. But I got back there and beat it....in one night. Geeezzz....

Oh and as you beat the game...it gives a percentage....and there is extra content that the game will unlock...behind the scenes and extra levels and such....but you have to get a certain percentage to unlock it...right now...I have beaten the game, but only 66% of it. So...I've unlocked everything up to that point....it's worth it to find everything you can! :-) And the movie clips are awsome...especially the one of the stone table.

The game is very challenging. I only 'almost' beat some levels...like...Beaver's Dam and the first Battle.....

And don't ignore the statues as you play either. And have Peter hit everything...chiars...tables...boxes....And beat as many enemies as possible...those things contain extra lion coins and sheilds.

I haven't played this yet. I've been reluctant because most, if not all movie based games are never any good, even if they look nice.

Is this game really worth it? Is it worth a buy or a rent?

Part of me wants to get it just because it's a Narnia collectible, but I collect too much these days... :rolleyes:
 
Well, if you have an XP, it is possible to download a free playable demo. I've download it and like it so far...though only really gives you a teeny taste of what it's going to be like. Unfortunately, it doesn't explain how to play it exactly. I was murdered by wolves twice before I could figure out how to move Peter's sword or really walk. Another annoying thing is that you have to use the keys on the keyboard to move...I prefer point and click games.

and say more than just a couple words.
