Susan not mentioned Queen?

I was reading LWW the other day and at the end when they are describing the children is says...

He was called King Peter the Magnificent.

She was called Susan the Gentle (not queen susan the gentle)

He was called King Edmund the Just

She was called Queen Lucy the Valiant.

I wonder if C.S Lewis had a typo or becuz since susan stopped believing in Narnia and C.S Lewis didnt put Queen just Susan the Gentle

Yeah ive noticed it for quite some time.....and i often wondered about it..i mean i dont Lewis would forget to put Queen Susan if u remembered for the other 3 pevensie's

I doubt there's anything to that. Remember, when Lewis finished Lion, he wasn't envisioning writing any more Narnia books.

It doesnt say.....why she was not called queen and the others were called queen and kings. i think that becuz she stopped believing in narnia

i know lewis at first only intended it to be just LWW but there are only three reasons why this could have happened(hehe im using LOGIC)
1) typo/he forgot
2) he decided in his first book to have susan not make it.-it was deliberate
3) the publishers have changed it

i dont think its one, and im a little skeptical about 3, so im going with 2... :D

yeah i think i agree with 2/3 i mean i dont think lewis would make a typo and forget to calle susan queen susan. lol

If you are writting a paragraph, and that paragraph will have several objects of the same kind, do you keep repeating the same words each time every time when writting on a new item on the list? Isn't that boring?

I think the omission in that paragraph of the work Queen refering to Susan had no implication of the future descision that Susan took.

I would agree, but my copes says Queen Susan!!!!! maybe they decied to add it to later copys?

That is a lie! I just looked it up! This is how it goes:

And Susan grew into a tall and gracious woman with black hair that fell almost to her feet and the kings of the countures beyond the sea began to send ambassadors asking for ehr hand in marrige. And she was called QUEEN Susan the Gentle!

(I have the book in my lap right now too!)

My copy is one of the newer ones, but it says: "And she was called Queen Susan the Gentle"...i'm not sure if this is where you are talking about , but no where in my book does it say "King Peter, Susan, King Edmund, and Queen Lucy,"....:)

I HAVE A QUESTION!

Ok, well today I was reading the end of LWW again in class... and I noticed something in the very last chapter (Hunting of the White Stag). I know this has been pointed out before on another thread, but I can't find the thread anywhere. So read this...

"And Peter became a tall and deep-chested man and a great warrior, and he was called
King Peter the Magnificent.

And Susan grew into a tall and gracious woman with black hair that fell almost to her feet and the kings of the countries beyong the sea began to send ambassadors asking for her hand in marriage. And she was called
Susan the Gentle.

Edmund was a graver and quiter man than Peter, and great in council and judgment. He was called
King Edmund the Just.

But as for Lucy, she was always gay and golden-haired, and all princes in those parts desired her to be their Queen, and her own people called her
Queen Lucy the Valiant."

Notice how Peter, Edmund and Lucy were adressed as a King or Queen... but Susan wasn't.

Why is this?

I posted a thread like this before. I am too confused about that. And I think is that because Susan strayed from Narnia, and she did always remain a Queen.

Ok, she never stopped being a Queen of Narnia?
That would make sence because Aslan did say...
"Once a King or Queen of Narnia, always a King or Queen"

I just saw it in my book today and I started wondering about it, and I'm really curious to why he didn't call her Queen.
