why not make magicians nephew first?

That's one of the reasons I wish they hadn't changed the numbering on the books. LWW was the first book written, so they chose to make it the first film. I can understand why people who aren't acquainted with the series could be confused if they're only now trying to learn about them. They did the right thing filming LWW first though, it was the logical place to begin in my opinion.

I disagree about the books... C. S. Lewis stated in a letter that they should be read in chronological order. In renumbering them, the publishers were respecting his wishes.

However, LWW was the most universally well-known of the books, so it made sense to start the Narnia movies with it.

im not sure because people who just heard of narnia will get confused.

I think that they should make the movies in the order that Lewis wrote them. So far, so good. I hope they continue on this track because that's how the stories were originally introduced to the world, so maybe they'll appriciate it more... I don't know.

I just hope they stick to the original order. I'm one of the major followers of that.
