"We should head back", he said trying to changing the subject. Opening the front door of the cabin, and walked out onto the porch. The sun was setting, and dark was fading in quickly. He breathed a sigh of hopelessness. 'This is pointless", he said whispering to himself.
Sana put her hand on his shoulder and smiled. "Nothing is hopeless until you give up." She said. "Or die." She said her smile disappearing as she looked at the surrounding woods.
Sana followed him shaking her head. She couldn't understand how he could be so negative. Her entire life the only way she had stayed alive was by always being one step ahead of everyone. By being positive and doing things she might not of done in any other circumstance.
Soon dark fell upon them, but Elijah activated his sahtingan to help see where he was going. His mind though was plagued about they're next visit. Any day now, he thought to himself.
Sana, having enhanced senses, could see perfectly well in the near blackness. She looked over at Elijah. She was worried about him. She knew he was worried about when the women would come back.
The thought of running to avoid his pursuers came to mind, but he shook it off by whispering to himself that he was tired of running. He would just have to let them come and get what they want, cause no one could stop them, he was sure of that.
Elijah shook his head to rid it of such thoughts and walked on, letting his mind relax. Looking up into the autumn night sky he spotted the tousands upon thousands of stars covering the night sky.
