Christine "Moose" McGlade, Lisa Ruddy, Ross, Barth, Alasdair and the gang.

Even in the local Canadian-only Season 1 they danced on the boundaries of what was acceptable - here, courtesy of fansite Barth's Burgery, is a screenshot of the end credits in which, for reasons known only to God, the camera is focused point blank on young cast member Robin Marpack's rear end. She's in short shorts, which only makes it worse:

I loved that show! Being in the US, I only saw the Nickelodeon episodes, but they were amazing. It was basically SCTV with a touch of Monty Python for kids.

I like the fact that Christine "Moose" never intended to audition for the series, only going with her friend as moral support, but the producers insisted she either audition or leave and ended up becoming one of the most popular hosts in the show.

You Can't Do That On Television is the show that pretty much put Nickelodeon on the map, even though it was an import from Canada. It also helped to define Slime as a big part of Nick's identity for many many years. (Not sure what the point of the linked screenshot is, nor why you're pointing that out.

I just think sexualisation of child actresses is wrong, even in comedies.

Yeah, it really is. It's bizarre that they did that on that show.

Oh yeah, if you want to watch a great documentary about Nickelodeon, check out "The Orange Years" on Hulu.
