Your entry to Focus on the Family Contest

Hey Sis,
Did you win? I just received word from my
Papp's friend(who's the doctor)and he said that he happend to
show another doctor friend of his my X-Rays and he saw that I
have a small break on my lower right arm that nobody saw
before. So the Monday after Thanksgiving I have to go back to
the hospital to have my cast removed and they have to reset my
arm and put a new cast on. PLEASE KEEP ME IN YOUR
PRAYERS!:(:(:(

So sorry to hear that, April! :o Great job to win a prize, too bad about the grand prize though! You won't be disappointed when you see the film, it is amazing! :)

Thank you, Tim. :o Even though I had been praying for God's will, I still felt quite sad when I saw that I hadn't won the Grand Prize. Your encouragement and exciting words about the new movie have definitely lifted my spirits though. :) *Hugs* I really appreciate it, my friend!

Dear April --
Sending sympathetic ((hugs)) for the let-down re: the the Grand Prize... Ohhhhh well.
But
by the way what was your award winning entry for the Contest? Could you post it here so we could all enjoy it with you?

Aww... you are so sweet, dear one. :) I really appreciate the hugs of sympathy. Definitely cheers me up!
Oh yes! And here is the little essay I entered. I'm just glad it was accepted for a small prize at all. :) I guess I'm going to act on my back-up plan of going to see the movie with my best friend. If that possibly works out. She lives about three hours away, so I'm not sure if the weather will permit it. Hopefully it will.

While Edmund may not be the most flawless character, his tremendous faults and redemption from Aslan offer a beautiful representation of God’s saving grace. This is why Edmund is the character I identify with most. Sometimes we each lack Lucy’s childlike faith and Peter’s kingly courage, but Edmund ultimately shows me personally that perfection isn’t required to be loved by God. From traitor to king, Edmund’s story is truly everyone’s when we choose to believe and receive God’s powerful life transformation. Edmund greatly inspires me to follow God and experience the “deep magic” which can only be found in our Creator’s love.

Whether acting in a Narnia stage play or re-reading the books, I have grown up immersed within Lewis’ captivating creation and would be thrilled beyond measure to receive the fantastic dream fulfillment of attending the premiere. One week ago, I prayed that if it was in God’s will He might grant me this great desire and thirty minutes later I learned of your contest. Picturing the glimmers of uncontainable joy in my awestruck eyes while watching my dream unfold, it would be an unparalleled honor to step through the wardrobe and an experience I would always treasure.

That was a beautiful entry April! I am so sorry you didn't win the big prize. I do hope you watch it the film with your best friend. Hopefully the weather will be perfect!!!

*Hugs* Thank you so much for the very sweet complements, dearie. Although I was really disappointed at first, I know that it's all apart of God's plan and I had been diligently praying for His will so He certainly knows best. :)
I really hope I can make it over to see the movie with my best friend! It would certainly be fun to celebrate it with her. :D Again, thank you for everything and all of your kind words. :) There's no way I can be sad when I have such great friends!

Yes! The imagery was beautiful, and I agree with what you said about Edmund. He's the character we can all relate to. :)

TD your entry was awesome! Well done.

You are to be congratuled, grand prize or no.

OK, so none of us are going to London for the premiere, but by all the reviews so far, we will all be in for a treat, whenever and wherever we see it. Can't wait!

I really appreciate the sweet words, Benisse, MissReepicheep and inkspot. :) It was so hard trying to cut my entry down to 200 words. It was about 400 before so I had to do a TON of revising. Your complements were so kind and thank you so much for each and every one of them. They really mean a lot.
And yes, inkspot! We do have a wonderful treat in store! It's so very exciting! VDT is so close now! :D
