HIU professors, Outreach Int. produce children’s curriculum for The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

Hope International University professors Steve and Cora Alley have been tapped to write the children’s follow-up curriculum that will be marketed alongside the Disney movie, Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, based on the beloved C.S. Lewis novels and due for release 12/9/05. The curriculum is called “Kings and Queens in Narnia” and is being marketed to the Christian community through Outreach International, Inc.

The free ministry tools include 3- and 5-day VBS, Sunday school curriculum, and a 1-day Narnia outreach event. All are available via PDF downloads from Outreach International, Inc. “Go ahead and connect all the dots between Aslan and Jesus,” were the words of Lynn Takahashi Marion, Vice President of Outreach International, Inc.

Cora Alley, an expert in the writings of C.S. Lewis, chairs the English Department at Hope International University; Steve Alley teaches in the Church Ministry Department. “This privilege is one of the highlights of our creative lives,” say the Alley’s. Both are best known for their children’s church curriculum, “SKITuations” as well as the Christian school curriculum, “Biblical Choices for a New Generation.” For further information on the Alley’s work, visit any of their websites: www.skituations.com, www.inkspirations.org, www.easterscript.com.
