Dragon Attack on the Dawn Treader

The dragon is attacking the Dawn Treader. DeviantArt artist Oskarmandude posted the video to his deviantart account. It’s a very exciting video, and we can’t wait to see it with full editing and effects in place. It is from the filming at Cleveland Point on the Gold Coast of Australia. December of 2010 can’t come fast enough.

UPDATE: In accordance with the wishes of Oskarmandude, we have removed the video and links to his site. We apologize. If you wish to view the videos you may do so at his YouTube account, or at this URL: http://fc09.deviantart.com/fs23/f/2009/248/f/1/Exclusive_narnia_movie_footage_by_Oskarmandude.mov

  1. hm… I can’t say that I’m happy about this. I’ll have to wait to see what exactly their doing with this part.

    • Hey Anthony! Great to hear from you!

Here’s something though, this part is definitely in the book. 🙂 It’s a good sign of a scene that is a quintessential part of the story.

  2. I don’t remember a dragon attacking the Dawn Treader. There was a sea monster, but I honestly do not remember a dragon…(Yes, Eustace was a dragon and there were dragons on Dragon Island, but none ATTACKED the ship that I remember.)

  3. Maybe the director doesn’t know the difference between a dragon and a sea monster? Maybe they changed it so a dragon does attack the ship. Let’s just hope it’s the directors mistake.

  4. since when did a dragon attack the DAWN TREADER…..it never happend in the book….a sea monster yes but not a dragon

  5. Look at comment #1. This makes the best sense. The directions being given to the actors are meant to reflect what they are thinking. I am sure this is after Eustace is turned into a dragon and is flying over the ship. The characters THINK they are being attacked.

  6. hi…just a small point but as a local wanted to clarify that Cleveland is in Redland City (formerly Redlandshire), a bayside area about 45 minutes south of Brisbane and an hour north of the Gold Coast!!!

  7. FYI, Cleveland is not on the Gold Coast.
It is a part of Redland City Council between the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

Saying it’s Gold Coast is like saying NYC is the capital of New York State. It’s not.

  8. maybe they wanted to do a dragon instead of the serpent. or they just made a mistake and called the sea serpent a dragon. or maybe its the lord that became a dragon

  9. Eh whether a serpent attacks or a dragon. Doesn’t matter. Why do fans get all worked up on such changes. Seriously?
